Tackla goalie pants in the SHOW?

Just wondering if there are still some goalies using them. Price's ones seem like either Tacklas or CCMs.

i usedto notice this in the past with the tackla pants. in the early 2000's it seemed like a good amount of goalies were using them brodeur, kidd, are the two i remember.
i picked up a pair of the prokeepers, and found them less than adequate at the junior b level, so i always wondered how guys in the nhl used 'em. obviously thiers were custom.been seeing less and less goalies in the show using them and more in the rbk or vaugn velocity.

hope that helps

Carey wears Vaughn V3 pants. If you look in some of the pictures you'll see the Vaughn logo, although it's done in blue to save Vaughn some advertising money. Also for Tackala, I have really seen anyone with them. I know Vaughn owns Tackla.

Dak...i know what you mean. I had the 6500 ones and, although the leg padding was more than adequate, the hip flexors and low abs are were less than pleasent

Snow...i knew that Vaughn picked them up, but you don't think that the Velo pants are in fact some Tacklas? I doubt it really. See, i couldn't see the logo on Price's pants, and most of the Habs goalies always wore CCMs...got used to it

Not with all the pictures that have been posted with him from all last year, never ever wore Epic pants. You can seen the Velocity front abdominal protection(butterfly padding outside the pants) and the center back pad which is separate from the pants. Epic have not outside padding and the back of the pants are all one piece.

If it makes you feel like a pro, it's all good in my books

It's really good for your skates. Walking on concrete sharpens them with each step.

He has covers on and a lot of teams do that.

Maybe I missed a level here, but i couldn't resist pointing out that a professional hockey team probably knows that walking on concrete with bare blades may not lead to optimal performance.

Skate guards are pretty common for little kids in Canada who get at least partially dressed at home. I'd imagine the NHLers are issued them for practices at local rinks when their building is in use.

Rich I use the Tackla 7000 and am happy with them. They have plenty of padding, however, seem to be a little thin in the inner thigh. I think that may have to do with allowing for more flex. I like big pants and they are huge..I really haven't seen anybody in the uppers wear them recently...I'm okay with that because it keeps the price down and they are made in Canada. at least the 7000 were..
