TPS R8's
Louisville TPS - R8 Response "Monkey Spec"<br> Armor Custom Sr. Goal Pads
This is a good price for a pro pad I think. I'm going to get the Tampa Bay Colors. I'm going to try them out this evening and see how they feel. I'm nervous though about how well they seal up in the butterfly.
Seems that people are split in terms how well they seel up.

I have had them for about 3 months and found that they do seal up the butterfly pretty well even if they are a little stiffer

R8's
They seel better or just as good as a Turco break? Or is the Turco pad even better? The R8 is equivalent model to the Premier II right? I've herd the R8's quality is fantastic!

I switched from a ps2 to a r8 and personally i like the r8's better. I was impressed by the quality and the protection of the R8's. Even if the ps2 is a pro pad i don't think the quality is as good. I haven't used the turco break so i can't compare but i am pretty sure the r8's don't seal as good.

Not for nothing but seeing as how your in Pickering, why would you buy online from a US destination and have to pay taxes, shipping and custom/brokerage charges when you can get them for 100 bucks more right here in Ontario?
Just a thought / suggestion.
Wearing these pads myself currently I would say you won't have any issues with sealing the ice in your b-fly - at least I don't.

no taxes
Cheaper to get them from the US I thought...
I would have them shipped to a Buffalo address and just pick them up from there. No 15% taxes, duty, or silly like that I was thinking.

If you buy form the states you actually dont have to pay tax, sometimes its charged at the border, never for me.
If you buy from ontario you do have to pay like 13% in tax.
Shipping is cheaper from ontario, but the lack of tax makes it up.

I would hope not, considering these are complete and total b-fly pads. They've always been my dream pads..... I can afford them now, but can't justify them until I find a full time team, sigh. Seriously though, to the OP: I've tried these pads on before, and they seal like a dream...only dre7's Viper's sealed better for me.

That would be a great idea, if the Smith pads were anything like the R8 pads. But they're not, and the guy obviously wants the R8 pads.
There's a reason there are more than one manufacturer out there making gear. Different people like different things. You should respect that, and not troll Smith in EVERY thread.
