Word is every manufacturer is experiencing delays right now with the new NHL regulations and stipulations. With the new way the rules are set-up it's causing some confusion and some orders are having to be re-done which is pushing things back.

I just ordered a custom Vaughn V3 7500 C/A and was quoted 12 weeks by Vaughn. So any orders placed now should be expected by around Christmas time

Hey Spud - what about the 7500 C/A did you get custom? Was thinking of getting custom colored one, but there is an upcharge, just not sure how much $$?

I got a size Large with Medium Arms. I was told the colours you can get are: White/Navy/Orange, White/Black/Gold, All White or All Black. I ordered the White/Black/Gold as that was the colour I wanted anyway.

I decided against any other mods as price was a factor and this should be sufficient for my playing level.

Colours are no extra charge, same as getting different size arms.

That's cool - LG w/MED arms is a very common Mod...
I spoke to Mike Vaughn - he said you could do custom colors on the C/A's like the pros do - but def an upcharge - he didnt say how much tho$$. I guess you'd have to get the VAR to speak to Vaughn and see. Color doesnt matter too much anyway. thanks.

Ahh I was never told about that. I was told they can do the colour options that I listed without an up charge and since I wanted the C/A in the white/black/gold, I gladly accepted rather than pursuing different colours.

Well the arms on the V3 7500 are so long that I am not surprised its a common mod. Hence why I have to do it

Ya, considering my play level, I probably didn't need the V3 7500 but it simply felt best and looks well built so I paid the extra to get it rather than a low end... already spent far too much on gear this year.

I use it - I love it! I play A level beer league...some of those guys can crank a shot! The 7500 rocks! I got that Black/Red special edition one from GM - same exact as stock - just special colors...I like the all Black ones...I had a White / Black / Gold one - but sold it in the Classifieds after I got the new one

When I was trying on my v3 C/A in the store I loved it but my only concern was the arm thength seemed too long and my gloves would interfere with the arm floaters. I took a chance buying it knowing that I could tinker with it on the ice but the first time out it felt great even with the long arms. The arms didnt bother me at all. I find this with a lot of things in hockey that If I have something bothering me off the ice I dont notice it on the ice. I'm lovin my v3 plus my team colours are white/orange/blue so the c/a matches perfect (not that it matters). Anyway enjoy your c/a spud.

thx.. I still have 11 weeks till I can enjoy it tho hehe.

I was debating just getting a large, but after getting measured at the store, my arms are just big enough for size medium arms and are WAY to short for size large arms so I had to custom order it. The size MED body was definitely to small as it felt like a bib.
