Replacement Cage for a used Itech 4000

Hello Everyone,

I've done a search and found some info but nothing exactly related to what I'm looking for.

I bought a used Itech 4000 with a beat up and badly rusted certified cage. I'm looking to see if Itech makes a catseye cage or if anyone else knows of another catseye cage that will fit the 4000?

I emailed Itech but they haven't gotten back to me yet and since I'm impatient I figured I post the question here in hope that I'll get some input.

Thanks in advance,

Shane

Just some more info to add to my original post.

I sent an email to Itech on August 29th and posted the request above looking for a cage to fit my 4000. I followed Goalerguy's advice ( thanks ) and went and picked up a cage from PIAS in Whitby. They were on sale for $30.00 but they only came in blue. I bought it anyways because I needed it.

I received a reply from Anthony at Itech/Mission on September 2nd telling me that they've located a cage and that he needed my address to send it to me. I sent him an email with my address and asked how much it would cost me. I didnt hear back from him so I wasnt expecting anything at all.

So, on September 22nd I got an email from Anthony apologizing for the delay and he told me that the cage would be shipped from the Montreal facility and that the cage would be free....yes, free. Two days later; last night....it was sent by courier to my place. Awesome. I opened it up and it was exactly what he told me he'd send. A chrome catseye cage. I took off the blue one and put on the catseye. Looks amazing.

First thing this morning when I got into work I sent him an email thanking him and telling him how much I appreciated it. I got an " Out of Office Reply "with the message that he no longer works there. I guess with Bauer buying them up he may have lost his job.

Although he may never see this....but there is a chance he may. I wanted to thank Anthony for what he did for me.

Thanks,
Shane

I think to assume that bauer has gassed a bunch of customer service people would be a bit premature.

I will say this, I did call them today to order something for a customer and got "Our customer service department will be closing early today..."(they were already closed when I called)

It would be a pretty aggressive move on Bauer's part to step in and make so many changes when you consider how much inventory and the liklihood that bauer and Itech would have different programs with different training and different overall office set-up. I would suggest though, that some people have been let go other than a couple who I know are invaluable to the company's customer service dept.

I have dealt with Anthony on several occaisions and he's pretty good, but I'm pretty sure he was fiarly new so he may have been too low on the totem pole if they indeed let people go. Sweet that you got a free cage. I guess with company being bought it doesn't really matter if one extra cage goes out LOL.
