dr magnum x7???

so I was wondering if those were any good... the dr magnum x7 (or 7.2)
they seem to be mid-high end and I think it was dr top of the line back in 07

right now i use some old TPS x800 set that I've paid about 450$ about 7 years ago (4 season used)

I play in social league where there's some guy with impressive shot so I just wondered if it would worth investing in let's say eagle sentry and probably get more protection

thanks!

If you wanna save money and don't play too often, they should be fine. You could always look into pro discounted pads from the various stores on line and sponsored here or the classifieds.

As for the gloves, i suggest at least that you get a pro trapper, to avoid injury. The blocker is fine.

I was really talking about dr blocker and trapper, as I just bought some DR quantum 8.2 pad (they rock!)

I might try to play with my tps blocker and buy some eagle trapper... thanks for the advice!

Back when I played shinny only, I would only up-grade gear if I was getting hurt in it,

IE, Todd has a booming slapshot, hes also not pinpoint accurate, so when he wants to bury it top shelf, it usaully hit right on my upper bicep, armpit. After 2 seasons of that, upgrade C/A.

I got better at BFly, upgrade to used box pads.

Jester mask cracked, grabbed an Olie, that one cracked, grabbed a 961

I could play in Itech 4.8s' in my league, but I would still wear my 961, 993 C/A, and Velo 2 gloves.

Its whatever you feel safe/comfortable playing in...
