Yes the Helite 5 is a very good C/A. Snatch that up.

I can't see the link from work, but if it's an actual pro one, you'll be fine.
I have a review of mine...

The Helite 5 C/A is rumored to be the infamous Garth Snow C/A if gigantic portions. It previously featured elbow blocks in excess of 9" wide and raised ridges in the shoulders. It is the predecessor of such C/A as the Koho 590 and the RBK Premier 1. It's definitely a butterfly blocking type C/A. I previously had one of these units and fount that my mobility was a bit compromised due to the size of the elbow blocks.
However, this is the LAST generation retail version of the Helite 5 C/A. It is identifiable by the reduced width elbow blocks, no raised ridges on the shoulder wings, mesh sleeves, and larger angled chest blocks (as opposed to the traditional smaller square ones). This version of the C/A was reduced from previous sizing to meet NHL sizing PRE-lockout regulations.
I am currently wearing a CCM/Heaton 6 C/A, which is basically the same as this last version of the H5 C/A, only branded with the CCM name and it features maroon elbow blocks and shoulder wings. I find the mobility in this unit to be much better than the previous version, while still being a prototype butterfly blocking C/A.
It is a Canadian built unit has a great reputation as many pros used NHL sized versions of this C/A as recently as last year.
As long as the foams haven't gone soft, this is a solid unit for you. And quite a bargain at the price.
Just some tidbits about the C/A:
The arms lace-in and therefore have some adjustability as far as length goes.
There are oval shaped flaps that hang down over your shoulder blades on the back of the unit. I cut these out and attached them to the shoulder caps to double up the protection.
You may also catch a stinger or two in the bicep area.
The bottom row of blocks is a "soft" layer, to allow the belly to be tucked into your pants. I added a layer of plastic and another soft layer to double up on the protection on this bottom row.
The neck/collar portion is very low cut. Wear a clav/collar combo or use a dangler for extra protection in the clavicle/neck area.

I just got one of these units to replace my old trusty pro return Koho 590 which was a tank, I don't think I ever had a stinger in that one!
I beefed the shoulders and arm floaters up to be as thick as my Koho, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Mobility is great, and I only get stingers in the low stomach area. Plus I'm friggin huge!

Just got to see it. I guess an error occured during loading.
The belly looks like the retail version and the arms look 590/Premier'ish. Definitely not the Snow version. Looks quite used, but hell Train, give it a shot at that price.
BTW, did you go and buy the Bionic set?

Neither. It's the last retail version of the H5, which was downsized to meet OLD (pre lockout) NHL specs.

The Pro 90Z is the predecessor to the H5. The original H5's looked much like the pro 90Z and progressed to the one seen here.

No, I did contact him to see if they were still available, but I don't have $400 on hand to purchase right away. Even though it is a good deal, I am more likely to just look for a little while, whilst setting a bit of money aside each week, until I can buy something.
Unless the pads in my other thread turn out to be worth while, as I can afford $60, heh heh.
