The only surefire thing that will work is bleach. You will have to dilute it a bit with water unless you have that colour safe type.

a cap full of a "dettol" cleaner mixed with water should do the trick.
my cats have leaked on my hockey bag more times than i can count and that stuff always does the trick (if you don't mind the chemical smell of the stuff).

cat pee doesn't come out with a simple wash. it takes three or four runs with boiling hot water to get that smell out

ok, so I normally enjoy this site for the sheer wit of some of the members, but I can't say I laughed any harder than when I read the above...

yea, I have 3 cats...my wife's decision, not mine...we're having another baby in october just so can gain the people/pets advantage again. I've gone through about 4-5 bags...to me, its a lost cause, I just throw them out, but I don't buy wheel bags that cost so much...and well...I know a place where I can get a good deal too.

this is an easy fix

you pee in the bag and it covers up the cat pee smell

Been there... Right on the belly pad of my c/a and in my bag. I was PISSED. I wiped the inside down with clorox wipes and febrezed it. It still smells a bit, but I'm looking to buy a goalie bag anyway. I suggest next time you can, turn it inside out, maybe take a hot wet towel to it and then leave it in the sun. I haven't had the chance to yet, so I'm not positive it'll help but it might.
I hang ALL my equipment up now.

the worst part about this whole thing is that i have hockey in about 2 hours.
I took javex in a spray bottle and literally attacked the bag it seems to have killed the smell and didn't dye the black bag white but it isn't dry yet i have to wait and see
thanks for ideas
and making this serious situation funny
