changing outt v3 buckles to leather straps???

hey guys wussup i was wandering if i bought some leather straps from goliemonkey could i change out the buckles on the v3's to the straps??? and if that can work how do i go about changing them outt??

Do a search there is a ton of stuff on this. But for a quick answer use a speedy stitcher (sewing awl).
