Getting off "painted stuff" from equipment

I got a SWD C5 blocker and found out, that this huge SHER-WOOD in white just looks awful. So I wanted to remove it. Since it's just painted on, I tried it with rubbing some parts down with my nails but I failed...

So how can I get off the painted brands off the blocker? Maybe a special liquid or some other tricks?
