i am thinking of getting a new chest and arm and it seems to be a good deal. but i am unsure of how well it works. ive read reviews but i look to this site to solve most of my problems or answer my questions so i was hoping someone could help me. my older one was The original RBK premier Pro. i stupidly sold it to a friend who was lesser fortunate then myself so he could gather enough gear to get down south and play junior B. i thought id have a new one by now but had a lazy summer that flew by. so if anyone could let me know what they think and if not that one maybe suggestions on another brand

I have the Rx-9 and have been using it for the last two months. I love it. It is a lower profile(which most people don't care for) and is not a bulky C/A. Also, keep in mind that this pad is for the reactive style goaltender, not the goaltender that relies on solely his/her positioning. But, the protection is very good for a lower profile pad. I mean, for example, the chest/heart guard section of the pad has got to be at least 2 inches thick. I took a full on slap shot from inside the circle, went down in my b-fly and it hit me right in the center of the chest. Didn't feel a thing. Also, this pad is lightweight and runs cooler than others that I have used. I heat up on the ice and find this to help keep me cool. Another thing that people don't care for is that the neck comes down kind of low. Why it's designed like this, I don't know, but, I like it because it helps keep me cooler on the ice. I also wear a dangler, so, I am not worried about taking one here. Also, this C/A is nice a broken in out of the box, plus you cannot beat the price. Let me know if you want me to post some pic's and I will put some over in the Equipment Review section. Any more questions, just ask.
