RBK 4K Sticks

Anyone have a review or opinion on RBK 4K sticks? I saw a pretty nice close out deal on them ($30/stick) and am considering picking up a few.

Here's my review of them:

A bit heavy and break easily.

Great buy at $30/twig

I got a trio of them about 9 months ago at GM for $40/stick. I usually alternate between the 4k and the Koho 590. The Koho is a bit more refined (bit of ABS in the heel, thicker lamination on the shaft), and a bit stiffer and lighter, but the 4k is not to be knocked at the paltry sum of $30.

Just to finish the thread for future searches:

I ended up purchasing a pack of 3 RBK 4K sticks from GM at approximately 30 bucks each including shipping and handling etc. The clearance price excluding S&H was about $25/ stick.

Bottom line: The 4bk stick is a solid purchase at the clearance price for a weekend warrior, but I would not suggest it for anyone who is particularly serious.

Review of the 4K Stick: The stick is your basic senior goalie stick. Its made out of work with a laminate coat. I doubt there is any speacial materials. I had previous to the 4K a TPS Armid Hasek stick. These two are almost identical in blade curce, length, weight, etc. I will say the quality of the TPs stick is much better. The blade is smoother and looks more finished. The 4K stick smelled like spray paint and let's just say there are a couple of spots they forgot to paint. ( small spots smaller than a diime, but still....)

The stick is not heavy for a cheap senior stick. Obviously, nothing compared to a composite.

I think most people who would consider buying a 4K stick will find it acceptable. It gets the job done at a cheap price.
