Recomended Mask Painters?

I don't wanna start a war over who's better than who and whatnot.

If I could get some opinions on a mask painter who does good work and has a reasonable wait time. Pricing and location is not an issue.

Please and thank you.

Try Ron Stefaniuk at Professional Custom Goalie Mask Art and Design - Coveted Mask.com. He does some great work and fairly inexpensive. Plus he is located in Mississauga so you can drive there and see his work.

I have had my masks painted by Mark Hart, Ron Slater and Don McCelland at MacMasks. Mark and Don did very good jobs, but Don @ MacMasks was by far the best paint job I have ever had... he is now doing paint for a very well known mask maker and everyone that I have had recommended him to are very happy with their paint jobs.

I think there are other mask painters out there who are very good but I have never had the privelage to have my mask painted by them.

Good luck and choose your painter for the style you are looking for... some painters are stronger with different styles than others.

I'll recommend Tony Jarrett at Masked Expressions. He has my mask right now, should have it back in a couple weeks. Has been very willing to involve me in the process. Has done Cam Ward's mask a couple times, as well as other guys in the Hurricanes system. Top notch person and work.

I would go with Doug at Wzlhed. Very reasonable prices, helpful, and most important does amazing work. Even though its not on his website, he did Nitty's new mask, Garth Snow's yeti masks, and Scott Munroe and Martin Houle of the Philly Phantoms.

Everyone who has had there mask painted and had a good experience will recomend that guy. They all generally do good work.
There are things you need to determine before selecting the best painter for you.
For example Coveted/Acme Art does beautifull work but he has a particular style and you have to determine if that is for you. If you want a portrait type painting then another painter may be your guy. If price and time is a factor Tony at masked Xpressions may be your guy.
Check out the show off your mask thread or the different mask painter web sites and see if there style suites what you want done and just contact them most are pretty open to having conversations about your project and answering questions, and gernerally good people.

i would go with doug at Wzlhed too!

his work looks amazing in person... i like his style even though i haven't used him yet since i don't know what the heck i want on my mask!

i was thinking of just copying huet's mask when he played on the la kings but i want this mask to be about me!

what's a good theme to complete this package? i just don't have any imagination! ahhhhhhhhhh!

I have to say I really liked working with Doug at Weasel Head. He did a great job on my mask and was very helpful with getting the exact look I wanted. Very good turn around time and reasonable pricing.

Just my $.02

I 4th Tony Jarrett. He did my son's mask and he has his new mask right now. He does an excellent job, and will also fix chips for free with free return shipping.
