Bauer Profile 1400 Goalie Mask

Just got this low-end Mask today for $200.

Just looking for general comments about this helmet, and if it's way too poor for mid-semi league Ice hockey, should I return it?

Thanks.

-Yuan

I'd return it. The 1400 is a death trap. I have a Itech 2500 and play C level league, and A/B level pick-up. I find it barely good enough for the C level with the occasional shot that leaves my ears ringing or with a burning forehead. It's downright scary in the A/B pickup though. Its scary enough that I'm shopping masks for when I get my tax return. I'n the meantime I'm hoping that nothing serious happens when I play pick-up.

I did some phoning around and got these ones listed.

Rbk $500-1000
Sportsmask Tusk Terry 58 $220 (I believe that's what he said.)

Which one should I take?

Thanks for all your help.

It was probably a "Sportmask T8".
If $220 is the price or even a little more go for the T8.

I'd go for for the RBK 7k or 9k...I've tried them on and held them in my hands and really looked them over. The 9k is very nice and the 7k is pretty nice too. It's all a matter of personal preference though. Go try some on if you can. As I'm sure you have already heard, and will probably hear again, your mask is your most important piece of equipment and you shouldn't be cheap about buying one, I wish I had gotten a nice mask to begin with, it would have saved me alot of future trouble.

But I did try to do some research. Googled "Bauer 1400 Goalie Mask" on my phone when I was there and no reviews or nothing. Goalie Store wasn't even on the page. D:

you could also look at the itech nv7 or the bauer nme 7, there the same mask. i have the itech one, got it for 280 at goalie monkey, and its an amazing mask, i actually used to have the 1400 before i bought the envy 7 and i cant tell you how big of a difference it is. if i were you id really look into the nv7 or nme 7.
