TPS Ice Cap--inital review

I got a real good look at the TPS Ice cap pad. I also tried them on.

I have to say they do go with the new "fad" of square'd pads. But they do have some interesting little things that may or may not catch on. ON the front shin there is a little inside roll(similar to the outside roll) After talking to the rep, it is to prevent pucks from sliding in under your butterfly. There also is two knee lock systems. The top strap actually buckles around the knee, this helps in a butterfly. It also has a hard thigh board (similar to 560's thigh board) the thigh rise was tall as well.
Of course TPS included the Brock into the pad. There are sheets of the brock in the knee and in the boot area of the pad, there are the rolls of Brock in the shin.
Trying these pads on I noticed they didn't torque much going into the butterfly, the seemd to slide around my knee and almost go into the butterfly themselves. I think the break-in may be hard on these, the pads were very stiff.
I haven't seen anyone or myself played with the pads, so i can't say much more about them, once i do so i'll let you guys know..

I posted a long and pretty thourough thread on this, but it looks like this one did bite the dust. I posted two different ones, and of course the huge one lost, and crappy one kept.

I'm not such a big fan of the brock in the shin, and thought that these looked ugly...I tried them on at perani's and wasn't really excited about them. they seem to be a mix between the Xhales and the countours.

From what I gathered from the Rep the 3 pads are supposed to be for 3 styles of play.
X-hales--butterfly
Contour- more of a hybrid style
Ice cap--"pro" butterfly

I personally would like to see some of the features of the x-hale( butterfly pad on calf) on the ice cap... I may have to talk to the Rep about that one..
