06' 3700 review?

Hey, it'd be really helpful for me if someone could post some pics and review the 06' model. I'm just about to pull the triger on this thing, kind of up in the air between medium and large (5'9, 71 inch wing span), any recommendations?
Thanks

You can double check the sizing chart on Vaughn's website, but if all Vaughn C/A's are the same I wear a large V2, and I am 5'9 and have a 69" wingspan

bdowd, I sent you a PM about sizing.

For everyone, though, I recently received an '06 3700, and the changes aren't as numerous as I initially thought when looking at one quickly in the store.

First, the chest blocks are all a tad bit thicker by way of a thicker layer of soft foam on the front.

The shoulder floaters are longer top to bottom and a bit stiffer, so they sit up tall in the butterfly. Though they look a bit like Velo floaters now (as opposed to the '05 5500-style), they're very square on top when the unit is actually worn. The floaters have articulation points built into them, but they don't seem to do anything. The floaters also have wide plastic inserts over the armpit area that help to cover the hole in the protection that the '05 had between the floater and the second arm flap.

From what I can tell, the arms are unchaged on the '06.

I have the 3750 (3700 in special colors)

I think it's a great C/A.

Mobility is there, protection is there.
The only thing I would change about it is the sides of the belly pads seem short to me. I occasionally take a shot to the ribs if it gets out of position, but it's usually not a problem.

That 3750 is a very nice looking unit, especially for the price.

I've kept my eyes open for years in case I ever see a truly mobile looking C/A. I currently wear a M sized 5500. I have cut so much off it, but it still only feels a little mobile. Does anyone who has used both have any idea how the 3700/50 compares to a 5500 in terms of size, bulk, and mobility?

I'm not a small guy, 5'11 175, but I have been seriously considering getting a S sized unit next time, simply to make the unit a bit smaller and more form fitting. I've always wanted that streamlined C/A look like Potvin and to an extent Osgood have always had. I'd have to try one on to make sure it wouldn't be too small, though.

My thought is the durability. Is it better as in the 05 model, where a lot of people complained about the c/a getting softer?

I think I have the 05 model, and I haven't faced many issues with durability and breaking down. The padding naturally gets softer, but it hasn't been a big problem for me. Hope that helps
