New Product PAW Ultralight Kneepads
Mods, this is a new product and review as well as my new gear,
so i didnt know exactly were you wanted it.. sorry if it is in the wrong forum/thread.
I recently purchased new pads that are 35+1 compared to 32 and this created a problem. My Brown kneepads started to get caught on my flatface CCM Pro return pants. I never had this problem before.
The soultion was to get custom made new knee pads from Sara at PAW.
To my knowledge i am the first to ask for this type of kneepad.
These are extremely light.. my scale wont measure it acurately but based on the postage they come in a about 1 lb each.
These are only 1/2 foam.. no plastic to get caught on the pants and still protective.
I was actually considering going with no kneepads. These are so light and conform to the knee so well they feel like your not wearing kneepads.
Also because these are made a few inches higher on the thigh than the Browns.. no issues with them getting caught up.
So, in the rare case i might get one in the knee I have some good knee protection.
While keeping it extremely light weight and sleek.
Also there is nash on the backside of the kneepad to keep it in place.
An awesome product. I used it yesterday and they solve all my kneepad issues.
So, if your kneepads slip down, or get caught up on your pants these may solve the problem. They did for me. The pics below are the front, back and profile of the kneepad.
These were made by a boardmember that provided outstanding service, quality and value. I am happy to support board members and contributers to this forum.
Cheers
Jim

Jim, I'd be interested in these, and have never heard a bad word about Sara, and her products and services. Can you maybe take pics of you wearing them? I moved up an inch on my new Browns, and found the knee pads (Similar to thighboards, but small) tend to bunch a bit, but not really hang up in pants.
Thanks!

more pics
sorry for the bump just more pics
I just wanted to also mention the main reason these work so well as you can see buy the pics is they are higher on the thigh and the nash backing..
love these things!!!
PS. i have no stake in this company I just really like their top notch product.
I support the companys that have made fine products for me.. and i make it clear I am huge fan of Maltese combo, PAW kneepads and knee stacks, MIller CA, Smith Gloves, Philly white hockey pant shell, ******* Matrix Jock. Pro return CCM 620 pants, Nine-O wicking long johns. None of the above mentioned companys sponser me in any way.. I just give my 2 cents as to the great gear i own and who made it.. cheers Jim

those are BEAUTIFUL.
I'm trying to order a pair right now..wow...crap.
I just took my kneepads out because I felt like they were getting in the way a bit...and after playing kneepadless for the first time in a while...I was right.
Highly intrigued by going with these.

Mine are working well also.
The only problem I had was them interfering with the landing gear a little bit, making it a little buky.
So.... I simply wear a pair of underarmor OVER them. Holds them in place, and provides a little slicker surface with the spandex over them, so they don't intefere with the landing gear at all. Works perfectly.
I'll never go back to thighboards again.

I may have to go with PAW knee pads. MY Brown JR knee pads bunch and slip and do pretty much what they please... if I don't pull them up myself mid-game, I can feel the gaps and my knee sticking out between the sunken knee pad and the bottom of my pants, not good.
As for pro return pants, good luck Snafu. Us SR S/M pants wearing mofo's pretty much don't have a chance. EVERY pro rtn pair of pants I've ever seen was XL or bigger. BAH!

My PAW pads got their first real test tonite. One timer attempt from the slot on a pass from the corner. As I slid across, the shooter wound up and absolutely baseballed me right across the top of the knee ( he was IN the crease). No problems. His stick nailed me right on top of what would have been otherwise exposed thigh.
He didn't score either.

Good job Jim. Thanks for all the pics.
Those knobby knees of yours need all the protection you can get....
Have you used them much in games yet? If so, how have they performed for you?
Cheers!
PS How did you order them? Nothing on the website about how to place orders.
