Is there a huge difference adjusting to the somewhat pre-curved shape? I have the old Dx2's right now and I'm leaning towards doing the same thing as you.

Thanks,
Conbags

There's not much of a difference. The only thing is that the pads seal up better in the butterfly, without having to pull the top strap as tight.

Does this pad remind you of an rbk feel at all?

R8s are a little thinner, but the 12.8s are more flexible and better...

The r8s are to stiff, for my liking.

After I removed the calf pillows, the pad definitely took on kind of a Rbk feel. The pre-shaped curve along with the open leg channel reminded me a lot of how the Rbks performed in the butterfly. Great rotation with these pads.

so.mingoaldude,
I didn't get the glove. I've never been a huge fan of Brian's gloves other than the new Thief, although I have never tried the new Dx2 on.

#30renegade,
You can order these through any retailer. I ordered mine from Scott at Dukes and everything came out great. Goalie Heaven also has a good rapore with Brian's, as well as Goalie Monkey.
