Reebok 10.0 X pulse blocker and catcher first impressions

My first impression of these is very mixed. I bought a set off of ebay that were pro returns. They are very light and comfortable, but i feel like the catcher doesnt offer much padding in the palm/pocket. Just wearing the glove in the house i am already feeling like i am going to see a lot of stingers. Anybody else have these concerns? The blocker is quite comfortable and i find it fits a little bit loose, but that happens to be how i like them to fit. So overall i am happy, but still very concerned about the glove

No kidding. What luck. There is nowhere in seattle to buy any good goalie equipment so i had to just do some research and try to make an educated decision. Lot of good it did me.

Not surprised by these comments at all. I have not used the glove on ice, however, when I tried it on at our local pro shop, I completely hated the feel of the glove. I too noticed it felt 'flimsy' and the closure felt very uncomfortable for me. I don't know anyone who uses this glove either.

I found the blocker to be very comfortable when I tried the set, but The glove felt like two boards taped together at the break - very flat and stiff.

Do yourself a favor, head north for 2 hours armed with a list of decent hockey stores and a credit card.

The catcher is pretty horrible from the feel at the stores... I don't like the way it feels, and the shape is just ugh...

I disagree, I bought the X-Pulse catcher vs the Premiere II and I love it. It's a different feeling glove, I'll give you that, but it's one I think you either love or hate. Catchers are such a personal buy, I believe in trying them on before buying them. I think it's of great build quality and feels great, but I don't think it's for everybody.

Used the set for pond hockey last night and was actually very pleased. The blocker was very comfortable and functioned well. The glove was also great. Anything that hit the glove stayed in it. I had problems with my koho 490 with pucks bouncing off of it more than anything, but the xpulse did great. Now all i have to do is get used to the feel and the look of it. So all in all i have to say it was a good $350 bucks so far. Thanks for all the input

That Trapper reminds me of the Heaton 10 Trapper.

I could play the puck much better with that trapper compared to my 992.
