I want you to get a look into the R6 Glove, the semipro model of this season from TPS.
At first, sorry for my english, but I will try my best
I got the glove now for about 3 months, got about 30 ice times with it. It's a very nice glove. I was coming from a TPS Xi and no comparison here (as I anticipated).
It was broken in out of the box, closed excellent from the first second. It has 3 straps, one for the fingers, one for the hand back and one for the wrist. It fits perfectly with my hand.
It's already NHL Spec and I really like the new Specs. I got a small hand so I got some handling problems sometimes with my old Xi. These problems are gone. I got full control fo the glove to every time on the ice. In the first practice I got some shots, where I thought 'damnit, it's in' - it was but in my glove. The smaller catch area let you think you won't get him but atleast you have it so I got no problem with the new Specs.
The catch area atleast is very small to the back. But that isn't a problem, I got no puck that did go in and out, it's just looking weird.
It is very similar to the Xi in relation to the fit, I got no problems in this case.
And it's the lightest glove I've ever seen (about 860 gramms / ~ 1,89 lb)
Two negative things I have to told you, too.
It's light but on the hand area, it's not protected good enough. Slappers on the hand you will recognize.
And I got some material issues. On the outer side of the glove, where the parts are connected via ropes with each other, these little metal rings gotten cut off of the leather. I will send the glove back to TPS and I think I will get a new one.
Ok so this was my review, I really love this glove even of the 2 negative things (atleast, I hope the material issue was a "one-timer") and would play it till a semipro level!
And to the end, some pics
