Well, now that i've used them for about 6 - 7 months so far I feel that i can review these pads with the utmost confidence. I used to wear the older Prisms, yea you know those pads

They were bulky but were huge and made me feel like grant fuhr out there. These RBK X-Pulse 6.0 leg pads are just another revision of the old CCM vector line, as i almost bought some of these a few years back. I've played ice and roller hockey in these and let me tell ya they slide very well for the jenpro like materials there made of. Here's some more specifics:
Stats:
11'' width
35'' +1'' height
my ATK is about 16 1/2'' i think (not sure if i did that measurement right).
got the white with blue graphics on them
Feel:
They are very very stiff! Even after putting them under my hockey bag for a few nights and other means of break-in, i still find these pads to be stiff as a board! Very wierd for a guy who's used to the Heaton Helite series of pads and those Kohos of old. They fit around my skates very snug though, and the rotation into a butterfly is very fluid and smooth. I wear RBK knee pads hanging off my Vaughn Vault pants, and the knee stacks feel right at home with that stuff on. I think the straps are a bit lacking though, as the knee straps are a bit too high up initially. I adjusted the knee and calf cradles to correct this and is no problem anymore.
Durability:
Well these pads i'd like to say are not very durable. They are not built with the great quality that a vaughn or a brian's pad would have. On the left leg, the top thigh strap BROKE OFF after only a month of use! No this isn't because it was too tight. I wear them very loose! Wierd huh? Nope because of construction. The straps up there are merely sewn on under the jenpro. No reinforcement stiches or anything! I had to jimmy something up and put the strap that broke off with the lacing for my thigh boards. The other stiching is not holding up much i notice some stiching starting to break up around the knees on the face of the pads and in other various spots. The leather straps surely don't seem like leather, since they wore down very quickly. I wear them slightly tight but loose so i can rotate but the straps stretched tremedously and i'm looking for replacement straps
Butterfly:
The initial drive is actually something i had to get used to since once you start driving your legs down the thigh boards like to move alot since there flat boards and I also have knee/thigh pads on too. I had thoughts on taking the thigh boards off the pad because of this annoyance. My five hole has actually gotten weaker since i bought these so eh, not liking that. I'm still trying to get used to these things but after as long as i've had them i should be back to normal but this is not the case. Butterfly slides and other down movements are actually decent in these pads. I like the fact that you can adjust the knee and calve housings to the insides of the pads, this allows me to be closer to the ice and seal up holes better. My knee pads plus the knee stacks keep my knees elevated very well.
Protection:
Very protective! I like the fact that i can't feel a thing in these pads yet there so light! i can kick or block a very well timed, hard slapshot and not feel anything but the impact vibrations. Minimal at best really.
Fit:
I may have bought the wrong type of pads for my style as i'm more of the reflex hybrid style aka cujo or a grant fuhr. I can say that these pads fit ok they just don't feel snug like i like em.
Things I would change/Mods:
Better knee stacks and better organization of the knee and thigh straps.
Overall:
This is the LAST time i ever purchase a RBK pad. these are just absolutely horrible pads. They are cheap though, but i know Vaughn makes the Epic 8600's for similar pricing plus Itech has there 7.8's. I will be checking those out when the season's over. Here's some pictures of the pads and the insides :
