Nike Bauer One 95 pants

picsHello Noob here takin first shot at a review,
I recieved a new pair of NB one 95 pants fromtotal hockey last friday. Ill post pics so i dont have to type much but after 1 session on ice I love these things I am coming from an Itech 4.8 pant(i used to only play roller but am on ice now) these pants feel totally bomb proof. But not in a bad way after they break in Im sure they will loosen up a bit. The extra knee protection feels nice and doesnt move and fits in my RBK premier 6 pads nicely it actually feels like i have a knee lock now the pad still rotates like it should. A very nice feature is the extended thigh protection it slides up into the pad when i go down so no getting caught on the tops of my pads. One thing i did was to remove the padding in front the piece that isattached to the laces it was too uncomfortable (i tuck my C/a so i dont need it. one mod i think it doesneed is relief cuts in the back of legs it felt like the were pushing on the back of my legs a little.

I will do a follow up once i have used them more.

I own XXX's...these look the same

The knees look the same as do the pants from the back.

I did not try a bigger size, but I agree that some slits in the back might be helpful. Coming off Tackla's, these are much snugger, rugged pants. Not as loosey goosey and much more protective.

Love the built-in knees and they are more comfortable than wearing knee pads.

But I actually think they might be too much pant for my level of hockey and will be selling them.

Since I don't see an external belt, can I assume they've wised up and gone back to the internal belt from the Reactor series?

I ditched that stupid flap over the laces too - constantly got in the way and wouldn't have protected me from getting hit with an errant feather.

Just be careful about the anterior hip-joints - it may feel like solid protection, but there are major holes.

Actually Law Goalie, they kept the outer belt, it's just hard to see from those pictures. The XXX/One95 are a solid pant with a great knee design. I wish more pants had that!

The Reactor 6 pant originally had that knee setup. Best one I've ever seen. I'm suprised more companies don't use it.

Yep, the R6's are gorgeous pants - especially after you replace the flimsy knee-wraps (the lowest third of the pant) with a pair of Brown knee-pads.

Shutout, how would you compare those XXX's with the Easton pants that you have now?

Smile Just ordered a set of XXX

Thanks for the reviews guys. I found a set of the XXX Pro's on closeout and ordered a set of them. I am coming out of a set of Tackla 6500's that are huge. Sold as size 50's (which my understanding is for a 32" waste, well I am a 34 and tuck my C/A in and still had room for someone else in them). After reading the reviews of the 195's and the XXX looking like the same thing, I will be anxious for them to get here soon. Sounds like what I am looking for though, thanks.
