RX-7 Glove out of the box review
Got this one a month or two ago but I have been rehabbing a knee injury so I haven't had the chance to get it on the ice yet. Here are my initial impressions.
The Glove looks pretty good. Compared to other gloves I've tried on in stores, it closes pretty easy (my first new glove). It closes more like a baseball glove than my older JB elite or an older Eagle PMW1 that I picked up not too long ago. After working it for a little while, maybe 20-30 mins. it got noticeably easier.
The back is broken up into 3 segments that help it flex when closing. I've given two views of it. One with the glove open, one closed.
There are baseball style (?) loops that you can tie up to hold your pinky and thumb. (ran out of attachments to show these. maybe I'll make one more post after this one.
There are 3 different adjustments on the inside. One is over the fingers, but not easy to reach so you'll probably just leave that one alone. There are 2 more, across the back of the hand and on the wrist. Can get really snug with both.
One of the negatives right now, I noticed some stitching towards the top inside of the palm that was irritating my hand a little but I don't know if that'll be an issue going forward. The other is the back doesn't open up enough. Only the bottom of the three panels opens so it may be tougher to air it out after a game.
I haven't messed with the blocker yet but it felt nice when I first got it.
