Short V3 blocker review

Well I was in Toronto for a hockey tournament this past weekend and I stopped by Dukes just go go for a look at what they had and my blocker was getting old and I convinced my parents to buy this baby for me .
From the moment I put it on my hand I wanted it...badly. Ive only used it for two games but for those two games it has been working amazing.
The first thing I noticed about this blocker was the amazing comfort and mobility of the palm. Two other things that drew me to the blocker was the massive sideplate which is great for shots that are trying to sneak under the arm. Also I thing the curve of the cuff is perfect for deflecting shots over the net.On some other blockers I have had the cuff would be way to small or way to big for my liking but I think this is just perfect. Another thing I love about it is the weight. It is way lighter than my last blocker (Bauer Vapor). This blocker has great protection on the fingers and especially on the thumb and index finger.
There is only one thing that I would change on the blocker and that is the opening (where you put your hand in). I think its a little too small and my C/A wrist gets caught once and a while.
The blocker is stock all white jenpro.
weight:10
protection:10
performance:10
construction:10
durability:9.5 (guess since i havent had it for long)

i ordred my v3 3 weeks ago in white and silver. its such a nice blocker especially for me coming from a v1. the only thing i didn't like about it was the palm so i requested that vaughn swap it out for the diamond grip or w/e the palm from the v1 is called.

I am looking at either this blocker, or the V2.

I cant tell for the life of me what the differences are.

Does anyone know? Or can recommend which one is better?

Which Bauer Vapor did you come from? i currently have a vapor XXX and i will need to get a senior sized blocker soon so if it was a good transition for you then maybe i will like it as well.

Vaughn always makes the best blockers. The Velo line and especially the Epic were always well balanced, light and looked right on the hand. Epic was always my favorite.

The only problem I have with the V3 is how low the glove is placed on the blocker pad. I'm used to the Bauer style where your hand is a bit higher.

As for the difference between the Velo 2 and 3....I'm sure others will chime in with more but that is certainly one of the big ones...the Velo 3 has more board above the wrist, hand sits lower.

i came from the vapor that they made right before they were bought by nike.
all it says on the blocker is Bauer on the front and vapor on the side. For some reason i remember the name vapor 2 it might be the type of blocker but im not sure.( i said 2 not 20).
yes on my bauer blocker, the hand was really set high and im still getting used to the limited blocker below the hand but the light weight design will be able to get my blocker in the right spot to make up for the hang being so low on the V3.
i would definately go with the v3 but i have never actually tryed on the v2 but im sure the v3 is 10 times better. As you could see in the OHL and even in the NHL a good percentage of goalies are wearing the v3.

the side of the blocker is ribbed. the blocker came out before the 30 stuff came out and it even came out before the vapor 20 player stuff came out.

the only problem i have with my v3 blocker is when i hold my stick, the tips of my finger are exposed, and i have got 2 shots in the same spot, its like a one in a million times this will happen. other than that the blocker is my fave to date, best one ive used.
