Wow they don't looked very flexible. Very stiff. But these are awesome. Definetly looking into these!

you can just ask me what you want Södy... I´ll even answer in german ... I got those pads for this season of roller and I don´t look back to my Bauer X.

For fairly cheap pads those are really nice to play.
Concerning the thightboard I never really had any problems -- though it´s not icehockey.

Btw. a bit off topic, but if you want matching gloves gor for the R5 or summit but KEEP AWAY from the R6 catcher.

haha whys that? i mean if you look in the TPS thread nearly everyone says they custom ordered their response pads with a summit glove in response color patterns.. so i always figured the response line glove was crap

well pretty easy to answer, I had ordered the Tps R6 Gloves but after about 2-3 Games the outer side of the catcher was breaking and the synthetic leather was falling apart.
Södy had the same catcher and the same problem.

link doesn´t work for some reason!?"!?

in the middle of the page here: Goalieforum - Thema anzeigen - TPS R6 Review

that pick is stolen from Södy´s review on the german board, but it looked on my catcher exactly the same.

But on the other hand TPS was really kind I asked if I could either get a R8 catcher( I was willing to pay the difference) or if I could get a summit. I received after prolly a weak a brand new summt catcher and never looked back I love it !

Södy didn´t want to change his setup so he asked for a professional repair which was done quick iirc.

so long story short 2x R6 2x the same problem. And on a side note I had stingers on my catching hand and I only play roller -- can´t imagine how that works on ice.

p.s. the blocke rof the R6 series works really well for me, so just the trapper was the problem.

I wanted the summit glove, too but they didn't had it for Full Rt. So I got this and will get a good offer the next time.

so you got the r5 pads?

what did you paid for? (including shipping etc.)

well I paid the regular price iirc at that time it was 499 $ US + 75 $ US Post + nothing, cause my mother went to the toll, cause I was in another town at that time and she had a nice toll officer who didn´t asked for any extra (normal 19% + iirc).
so round about 380 €.

But it only works, if you send it by postal, if you go via UPS or Fedex etc. the shop tells the value to the transporter and you gonna pay when you receive the package. I once ordered my skates that way which where around 200 $ and I had to pay 50 € toll. which sucks.

i have used these for four games and am not happy so far. i have been keeping bungee cords wrapped around them, but they don't seem to want to keep much of an s-shape. the s-shape is pretty crucial because there is no strap above the knee that connects to the pad, but rather just a strap around the very sub-par thigh board.

i took a slapshot that wasn't even very hard on the my thigh board and ordered knee pads the next day. i really hope these break in soon. my butterfly sucks right now unless i bring it in very narrow. it seems like it could be a lot better if there was another pad strap above the knee.

I have made it pretty clear that the pads are stiff and the thighboards are crap.

The TPS Response pads were designed to be pretty stiff, so if you were expecting a velocity type feel to it, you were wrong.
