Quick Reebok 9k goal pad review

Quick review
Comfort:So far they feel awesome! The stacks feel a little bulkier than what im used to but i guess it's because i had 5k'sThey are still a little stiff so I'm guessing They will be even better!8.5/10-Because they have yet to break in.
Protection:I don't think i will see myself getting hurt these. They have protection everywhere.10/10
Durability:These look way better than i thought they would(Quality wise and apearance)There is not a stitch out of place.Though, that being said I have only been on the ice once since i had them.7/10-All because I have only played in them once.
Performance:I feel a lot more agile in these pads.My movement feels more precise and my butterly is much better! So far they feel great! They are a lot easier to move in, do my butterfly slides, and even to get up.10/10
Apearance:The pictures do not do these things justice. They look amazing!I have never seen a better looking pad!10/10
Rebound ControlThe rebound control actually suprised me. It was alot better than I expected. They pretty much deaden the puck. They pop out maybe half a meter(With a puck machine)
Overall:They feel great, I love em!Couldn't have asked for a better pad.(Ok maybe)They are comfotable, light, and easy to move in.I do recommend these pads

I will update you guys on the pads when I get more ice time

Well I first had Vaughn velo 2's.. hated them and got Brians DX3..I do not like them.. I tried on the 7400 and they felt really nice, but the 9ks aren't out yet so I can't try them .. I mean both pads apparently are good at closing the five hole.. and etc..

So you didnt like V2's but you like teh 7400s??

What do you like better about the senior level pads as opposed to the Pro level V2's?

The V2's were used....and they were 12'' and heavy. When I got them they were not really in good shape.. but for the price.. meh. I think the 7400s are lighter and also I don't want to pay over 700 for pads..

If you have had previous problems with velo's I suggest going with the 9k's.I haven't noticed anything wrong with the pads so far, but I have only used them once.I'm on the ice tommorrow morning so I will let you guys know if there is anything wrong with the pads

the difference between the rbks and the velos is the leg channel, make sure you can try on some 9ks before you make the purchase. its a very open leg channel so the pads are ment to be worn loose. if you play butterfly I highly recomment rbk, i have 8ks and they are awesome. durablity is an issue, after one season I am looking to do repairs on them, granted I play ACHA college hockey so they see alot of wear. 7400 are very nice tho, I think the 8ks are lighter, so i am sure the 9ks are improved. happy hunting.
