A message From the Owners of Goalieheaven

As owners of Goalieheaven, we are honored to be a part of this excellent bulletin board. We hope you enjoy our new forum.

As many of you already know Goalieheaven is a subsidiary of Toronto Hockey Repair Ltd. We have been offering our services to hockey and goalie players since 1981. We have come a long way since doing glove repairs from the back of mom's house. Over the years we have expanded to become a full service hockey store catering to the needs of hockey and goalie players worlwide. Although we still do repairs of equipment, our main focus is retailing. We carry all the major brand name equipment at great prices.

As a family run business we strive to provide excellent customer service. Whether you shop in person at our store, or through our online or eBay store you will always find our staff to be courteous and knowledgable in helping you choose the right equipment.

Our forum will be maintained by our resident goalie expert and Goalieheaven Manager, Dana. Over the next few weeks he will keep you informed about upcoming specials and as usual he will give you his insights and reviews of the various equipment he gets to try out. As owners we will have a limited presence on this board. This hands off approach, we believe, will give the BB community the opportunity to better interact with Dana in thoughtful discussions, opinions, suggestions, praise and constructive criticism.

For more information about our company, our history and the services we provide, please check out our Youtube video presentation

Like Dana said, Have fun with this.

Sincerely
Fiorenzo and Jim

Welcome to the board, guys. As a prior customer of both THR and GH, I have to say that your prices and services are first rate.

I hope you don't get discouraged by the handful of people on this board who are, shall we say, irreverant.

Hi Oldguy

My experience with the Goalie Heaven people has been excellent. I've been to Toronto several times bringing Nate and one of his friends to Jon Elkins goalie school, and visited Goalie Heaven each time. We've made purchases and had repairs done there, and always found the staff to be well informed, willing to give us lots of their time, made sure we got what we wanted and needed without spending more than necessary, made modifications to our purchases quickly and inexpensively (lengthened the bottom of a C/A by adding a row of pads for less than $40, for example).

I'm astonished by your report of shabby treatment.

I was in Toronto last year and had the same experience.... I felt like I was bothering them. This happens at stores. I guess it depends on who is working or what time you go ? They weren't busy either so it's not like they were packed and no one could get to me. Oh well. I was expecting more, but they had a decent selection of gear though. They had almost as much goalie gear as Duke's as I went there as well when I was up that way.

I have been living back and forth between Chicago and Toronto my whole life, and began going to Goalie Heaven when I was going to university downtown Toronto. Personally, when I go to stores to look at gear, I like to be left on my own until I have questions to ask or need help. The guys at Goalie Heaven were great, in that we talked about all sorts of hockey related stuff, not just what they want to sell me. You could tell they were all very passionate about the game. I have bought about a million sticks, sharpened my skates a thousand times, and had my blocker completely re-palmed there. I don't remember anything about their gear pricing, but the customer service, and the timeliness/quality/pricing of repairs are great. If you ever have to get that "irreplaceable" piece of gear stitched, patched, stuffed, etc ., go to their store. If I ever make a move back up north, they will be seeing me soon. Thanks!
