I should have to spend an hour driving and a gas money so i can get an offer of half of what i deserve. Clearly all of you feel that he gave me a great offer (eventhough i got 2x what he offered me), he shouldn't give me any kind of any idea of the offer i was going to get, and eventhough i saved his company 290 by taking the 40$ credit over the glove for a dollar, i dont deserve any kind of deal at all. I was also told while in the store that pads that have been used 2-3x are worth just as much as those used 50-60x... ya im sure .

Obviously you aren't going to change your opinion but there are a lot of factors to consider. You may have sent in the worlds best pictures, but it's still not the same as seeing the gear in person. I know that you can't smell the gear from pictures. Also, lets say he makes you an offer based on your pictures and then you come in and want that amount but there are a few new skate cuts on the pads that weren't in the photos... what does he do then? If you thought your pads were worth $1200 did you really expect the store to buy them for that and then try to sell them for more? or even the same amount? They are in the business of making money.
I understand that you didn't want to waste your time driving and gas etc and maybe they would've saved everyone the headache if they sent a quick email saying $400. Or maybe you could just list them on ebay, kijiji, etc next time. I wouldn't bad mouth the store though. I've been in customer service for a long time so I understand both sides and don't usually give people a hard time when I'm a buyer and I do my best when I'm a seller. In the end you're not going to make everyone happy all the time.
I had a guy buy a set of AWESOME condition pro spec V2's from me on ebay for his son's birthday. They had a skate nick that was less than 1/2 inch long near the bottom of the toe. He said he was going to leave me a negative feedback if I didn't give him $40 for the repair. I gave him the $40, it was a $5 fix with some shoo goo but wasn't worth the head ache for me. I wasn't happy about it but I didn't want the guy to be pissed either. Sometimes that stuff happens.
