The sticks are all Sr size. TPS measures their sticks differently, so they come up short
Basically, there are a couple ways to measure paddle height...
SherWood/Koho is the standard, you are measureing the bottom of the paddle(the part that touches the ince when you go paddle down. You start the measurement at the highest point of the paddle(where it meets the shaft) measure straight down to where the heel starts(paddle starts to curve into the heel)
Bauer/Montreal use the NHL method. Essentially you start at the same point as SherWood, but you measure to a vector where the flat part of the blade would meet the flat part of the paddle if the heel came to a point. It seemed to me that TPS was using this method, as my own previous orders of TPS sticks would suggest. Notice that Montreal and bauer sticks are normally 1-1 1/2" shorter than a Sherwood or RBK stick.
TPS now seems to be measureing their sticks this third manner, which basically again starts at the joint of the paddle/blade but runs down the center of the paddle to the blade/heel. This is what accounts for the big difference.
When it comes to a description, if I just put 27 or 28 I'm in trouble when someone who uses another stick gets them, so I put what they compare to in the most commonly used measurement. Please note how all three sticks in the pictures are measured differently but all three measure out pretty much identical when you hold them together.
