Koho & Jonas Hiller
Goalie Monkey is proud to announce that Koho, Goalie Monkey & Jonas Hiller have agreed to an endorsement deal for the 700 series. Jonas will be the face of Koho and it is Goalie Monkey's goal to bring this brand back in a big way. We felt that the Koho 580 & CCM Heaton 10 pads were two of the top 5 pad construction and performance wise ever built, so what better way to make a pad than to combine the two.
Goalie Monkey felt that the traditional pad goalie has been completely lost in this new world of 11in., flat face, box style, butterfly only era. The 700 series is for the hybrid goalie who has not been able to get what they like in a 11in. pad. With a squared top, this pad can be used for the butterfly as well as the other various hybrid techniques.
Goalie Monkey TV will have video at it's training center of the pad and how it performs and why it has all the features it does with a week or two. I think everyone will be really suprised at some of the results of the testing.
Thanks, Mike

Sounds good, now you just need to make the 580s and we're good.

So Mike...a few questions...
Is the gear made in North America?
Are custom colours available?
What price bracket will they be in?
How true will they be to the original 580 line?
Pro spec?
What major adaptations or mods have been made, different from the 580 line?

Congrats on landing Hiller to the endorsement, Mike! I recall you mentioned that was your aim. I'm glad he'll be putting the 700 series to work stopping NHL pucks! Any other NHL or minor pros that GoalieMonkey plans to make the 700 series overtures to?

Wow.. you leave the site for ten months & it changes completely.
Anyways, I've always loved Koho stuff (even though i've only had Koho skates), & this would bring a perfect way to introduce myself to them.
& congrats on getting Hiller to endorse the pads. Hope this all turns out for the best
