Goalie Trivia #19 (Itech)

Name the NHL goalie who actually wore an Itech clear shield during play?

Good Luck!

Gump Worsley, Terry Sawchuk and Jacques Plante used a clear plastic shield like mask that was made by Delbert Louch in about the 30's, but I guess never in a game.

My new guess is NYR Gilles Gratton.

Some of the guys above to my knowledge did wear a clear dentist like visor however none of them every wore an Itech face shield.

Keep guessing...

Sawchuk's dentist like visor:

Not too sure on Moog, he's not the correct answer. Can you find a picture of him wearing it?

The goalie still in question is not Moog.

Keep going.....if you have any pictures of Moog, please post them!

I don't know who you are talking about, but Moog definitely wore one for team Canada - he was told at the last minute before the tournament that he needed a certified mask, and didn't like any of the other choices presented to him. I don't remember the exact year, but I think Sean Burke was his partner.

I'll look for pics later if no one else gets them up first.

He might have worn one for Team Canada but he's not the guy I'm looking for. Another goalie during the same time frame also wore one for a reason like you stated above! Hint...hint.....

I'm also trying to hunt a picture of the goalie I have in mind down. The only picture I know of is in a team/media guide.

WOW...still no takers on this. The goalie in question is still at large! Go get'em.

Hint...he no longer plays in the NHL!
