Another "same play, different angle" shot from one of my recent scrimmages.

Shots from this weekend:

A friends Mite Travel son, Noah Przybylski (fun name, eh?), wearing Sean's first set of gear (everything but the cup)

Steve McKichan shooting on Sean - 2/19/06 - the org. had a goalie clinic

Sean stoning a Muskegon Chief - Sean was the only Griffin on this side of the blue line

It was fun shooting the little guy - it was his second shutout

I had a 3-on-3 tournament this past weekend. You could only roster one goalie and 4 players (allowed a 5th if they were over 35). There were two 20 minute run-time periods and they had a rink divider system (can see it behind me in a couple pics) that was set up at one of the blue lines so we were playing on about a 2/3 rink. It was hard to play on the short end as the goal was on the far side of the center-ice circle, meaning no crease and no hash-marks to help with positioning. I have played in 3 I-League seasons and currently play in a D-League, but we entered the tournament in the B/C League bracket. Out of 6 teams, we got the silver , losing the final game 6-5, almost overcoming an early 4-1 deficit.

First the ones with decent form:

Nice to see I learned something from the goalie coach

Feeding the puck behind the net

Nice glove save, BUT WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH MY STICK BLADE????

Just posting this cause I've never looked so tall in my life (5'-10")

Here you see the divider system behind me

VaughnWarrior09, your team plays out of DSC, right? I think I remember seeing your locker rooms. We played Lake Orion there the other day, and it's a real nice facility.

I play for Macomb Dakota. We ended up losing 5-3 to Orion, but they dominated the entire game. Completely outclassed us.

Who do you play for? We played a tourny in Grand Rapids earlier this year.

No, my team (Brother Rice Warriors) plays out of Oak Park. It's kindah old, and kindah dumpy, buy it feels like home to me . I used to play out of DSC for the three previous years and it's a pretty nice place. I don't know what rinks you guys have been to but I just had our last game of the season (one goal loss to decide if we make the playoffs; I played like poop ) at the new Suburban arena in Macomb. This is its first season open and I have to say it's one of the nicest rinks I have ever played in.
