In the past few weeks, I've had guys take shots at the net while I'm scratching my crease. They don't get it when I go postal on them. Their excuse is usually 'Relax, I was aiming behind you.' News flash, one of the reason you're playing f'ing beer league/pick up is because your aim just wasn't good enough fot the show. 300 feet of boards to practice their mighty shot on, and they have to pick my little 6'.

Also Dmen that play in the crease. It's easy, the white ice is yours, the blue one is mine.

I never get why people still scrach up their crease... I don't blame the shooters for shooting at you.

I have one that isnt something that happens on the ice but its still hockey related. I hate when people post pictures of pads for sale and they put the pads so that the rolls are on the inside.

Here's an off season pet peeve...

When guys get ice time and get my number from someone and call me up to play like I am crawling through the desert and theyre giving me water. Guys call and theyre like "so yah we need a goalie tonight" and when I decline theyre all like "really? why, I would think youd be dying for ice time" and I tell them "actually, Im in softball mode now and want nothing to do with a pair of skates for a few months but thanks".

I just cant get into playing hockey in the spring/summer months at all really. Around here hockey brings snow, ice and cold to mind and in this part of the world when its nice, sunny and hot outside, those are the LAST things anyone around here wants to think about lol.

I mean I will occasionally take a skate with my gear once a month with a couple buddies and have a little fun but sub calls and regular weekly ice times are the furthest thing from my mind.

Don't know if this has been said or not, I'm WAY to lazy to check back 26 pages, but in practice your in the middle of a drill and you got that one guy whose standing in line shooting pucks at the net trying to get it in from standing in his line.... HATE IT.

Sometimes the ice is so rough that it'll tear up your pads. It smoothes the ice out so you can slide better. And sorry, but that's a jerk comment.

OR you need to shoo the ducks out of the pond your crease has become due to the amount of water the zam left. If you don't scuff it up you'll end up in the corner when you slide.

Wow... im exactly the opposite. I cant go two days without ice. This spring im playing 4 times a week. Then this summer for a period of six weeks im gonna be on the ice almost every day. Then it gets to fall and im on the ice about 5 times per week and then to winter where im on almost every single day.... i just realized that the only break im going to have from hockey in the next year is a 2 week period in August where i have no ice..... I cant get enough.

Goalies who come on here and talk about how amazing they are by getting invited to a Barrie Colts OHL Tryout when 2 days prior they got lit up like a Christmas Tree at tryouts.

The typical I WAS BETTER THAN EVERYONE AND HE DIDN'T PICK ME! stories from goalies.

I absolutely hate it when I am in practice, and while I am doing my warm-up laps and stretches people come back and yell get in the net! Then when I get out of the net to do something, they come skating by asking why I left, and regardless of waht I say they tort back well hurry up and get in the net. The last one I can think of is when I take a sec to get the pucks outta the net, and some idiot nails me in the back of the legs with a puck. However that last one I have manage to teach people by just skating out of the net when that person comes in for a shot.

So you're saying that its the shooters right to risk injuring you because they can't wait 10 seconds for you to finish?
I do it more to get rid of excess water because the zamboni drivers at my rink suck, (actually one guy specifically told me he hated hockey) and they pretty much flood the ice.

My pet peeves are:

1.When we have to skate suicides after every practice
2.When shooters aim for my head on purpose
3.When I get new gear, and the other goalies get jealous and start crying about it
4.Tournament refs!!!
5.Mean teammates
6.Refs in general

I think that's it
