Read this post to save yourself from some flames. While this board is a very friendly comunity that is the pride of Paul and Brett, we Vets can get a bit unruley at times.
This will show you the simple act of performing a search. This is what causes 90% of people getting upset.
In the top right corner of your screen, (scroll up if you have to

On this page, there are two tables. One is the
The GSBB Search Engine, and the other is
Search Options.
How to use
The GSBB Search Engine Table:
In the
Search By Keyword Column, you can search by entering keywords. This is where you ask the engine to search for what you want to find. In the
Search By User Name Column, you can enter a member name to narrow the field of query results, or simply search out all their posts.
Below in the
Search Options table, there are three columns.
The first,
Search Forum... is for limiting the search request to a particular forum of the bulletin board. If looking for a review, set the forum in the drop-down box to " -- Equipment Reviews" to get best results. If you want more recent and relavent results, further modify your query with the
Search For Posts From... Column. For listing modification, the
Sort Results By... will list topics in different orders depending on how set. Most of the time default settings work well enough.
Once you have succesfully complete a search, you are taken to the
Thread Results page. Depending upon modifications made in on the search page, topics found based on your search contents are provided.
Limitations: Oh no! You want to search for something like CCM, but you get an error.
For this, go back and tweak your search. You can either be more specific, or add an asterisks (*) to make the term 4 characters and meet the requirement.
The asterisks only works for adding one character, you cannot search for "Hi**" or any other 2 letter word by adding 2 asterisks.
