Well it was Thunder Bay minor hockey. It was Bantam single A if my memory serves and when I take a hard slash in the neck right in front of the ref and hit from behind 2 mins later with no calls and then I get a penalty for boarding for barely touching a guy I feel a little abuse was warranted. And yes I got an extra 2 for unsportsmanlike, the other team scored and my coach ripped me a new one and said that hes the only one that should be chirping refs. So yes.. I learned my lesson.

Anyway, he hears my D coming and rushes his shot from the top of the circle. I made an easy glove save, and tossed the puck back to him quoting "The Crow" "Try again, try harder". Lucky for me I made the second save and controlled the rebound.

It's the same with college football and the NFL. Major college games (SEC, Big 10, Big 12, etc) have 10 times the emotion, a lot more "festive" feel and is a much better fan experience for those who like the spirit of the game. I've been to games at LSU, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Ole Miss, Michigan, Wisconsin and NC State. All of them, even those whose teams aren't even that good, were a better fan experience than every single NFL game I have been to except one - Soldier Field in Chicago was a heck of a time. I've been to Detroit (Silverdome), Tenn. Titans, Cincy, Atlanta and Carolina. All of those were lame compared to the worst major college game I've been to.
Part of the problem is that older fans don't have the energy to act rowdy for 2-3 hours for a game, and most college kids can't afford a $80 ticket to a Tennessee Titans game, especially when a U of Tenn game is free for them. So the average age for a pro game is probably way higher than a college game. Plus, most college games are on or very near campus and very accessible for students. Most colleges reserve a certain amount of "student" tickets and they are usually really close to the field/floor.

No it was stupid, but the guy was a: Obnoxious as hell and b: a total ankle bender, and I just felt like taking his manhood away. Besides, there was zero chance of them winning even if I did give up a weak goal, but I really don't recommend doing it unless you feel like wearing a bullseye for a while.

Thats one of our fan chants
we have a lot, some are pointless
"Give Him the stick! Dont Give him the stick!"- I still am not sure where thats from
We have a designated "Ozzie" guy. He does the ozzie ozzie ozzie chant
"A rope, A tree, hang the referee"
One game we played a shortbenched team so they got on the ice early for warmups and one of our seniors goes "Where are all your players?" They all give him looks and he goes"Oh that's right they're not very smart". They lost like 6 guys due to poor grades.
One game I was in the stands and not only were we were going at it with the other fans all game long and the parents started giving us **** and yelling so I flipped one off and he just started yelling **** and flipping me off as well as about 3 or 4 seniors that had nothing to do with it and the group of us were giving them **** and after their goal I yelled "It's a good thing your kid scores more than you do!"
The first time we played that team it was quite so one of our fans yells "Purple and Black is for bitches!" they wear LA jerseys
A little background here is that Avon (my town) is known for being wealthy and people all think we're multi-millionaires with beach houses 200 dollar jeans (we're not) but we make a joke out of it and we used it against another crowd in The game where the opposing parents were yelling **** the fans did a "you cant score chant" so we did a "you cant read" chant
later they started chanting "sit down avon" chant so we started a "we have futures" chant
My favorite was after the game our coach was called over by an opposing team mother and she goes "do you talk to your kids with that mouth" so he just gets in her face and yell "EAT ****!".
I dont do much **** talking other than telling the kids they're homosexual in some offensive way. One time some kid slashed me like 4 seconds after i covered the puck and whsitle blew and I said something like "**** off you peice of ****" and he just stood there looking at me so I go "What the **** are you looking at? You wanna kiss or something, ****ing homo"
My teammates liked it, i dont know. It wasnt very good though.
an NHL one
i forget the guys names but the next shift against each other after a fight one guy goes
"Hey, the next time I see you, i don't care even if its in a bar, im gonna kick your ass"
so the other guy smiles and replies "That's too bad because I dont go to gay bars" and the puck dropped and he skated off.

playing a game and some guy on the other team gets hit right in front of me, I then shout at him
"Hey, you go down quicker than your mum"
He didn't like it much, and spent the rest of the game in the penalty box.

1) Guy takes a poke at me while I'm covering the puck. I push him off and stand up. He asks me if I want to fight. I reply; "I don't hit little girls".
2) Goalie on the other team is down on ice, and gets an accidental stick to the cage from one of my players, and the goalie goes nuts. Players says "You spend that much time on your knees, you're bound to take a shot in the face".

Not me, but my D3 goalie in a 1-0 breakaway by one of our leagues more "smartass" players.
He comes in down the middle, Frank goes out to challenge.... player dekes, goes back across, goes to shoot and promptly loses an edge and goes down, sliding into the boards. The puck trickles slowly to the net where Frank grabs it and clear it. As the player is getting up and skating away, I quite clearly and loudly hear Frank say:
" Wa - Wa - Wa - WaaAaAaAaaAaaaa"
( you know that cartoon trombone slide noise when the Coyote does something stupid and looks like a jackass! )
Funniest thing ever!

I pissed a guy off so bad once he did the same thing, he blew a tire on a fast breakaway on me, and came flying into me so I jumped as he went into the net, and came down with a pretty big elbow to the head - not intentional. He gives me some guff, I told him to beat it before he got another one, and he skates away. I thought he'd put up more of a fight, so I told him, so he comes skating back and gets in my face again. I said "With breath like that I'm surprised you have enough friends to let you on a hockey team", and skated away.
He was majorly pissed and my Dmen had a good laugh about it.
