I think that they're basically the same. The massive gold on the side is still there... just it's more rounded because someone (Talbot, Malone, Orpik and Whitney) is wearing it, therefore, the gold is on the side... just in the picture of those 4 people their arms are covering it (if you look closely you can see some gold poking out from their arms).

Something's for sure, I would prefer to have Dion Phaneuf on my side and not against me. Now, try to tell him you don't like what he's wearing!

No kidding, they new unis are really growing on me. On the players, they do look great. The more I look at it, the more I find it true that vertical lines make them look faster and more agile. I love how the yellow and white stripes continue on the pants. Even the blank stripe behind the socks grows on me.

Man, whoever thought that putting the VANCOUVER on the new jerseys would be a good idea should get a kick in the nuts. Thats just awful. I really dont mind the constipated whale but the Vancouver print on the jersey is just horrible.

I can honestly say I mind any of the other ones, theyre all fairly slick. Not really a fan of the whole template system but it is what it is.

I still think the goalies look ridiculous in the skin tight jerseys though.

That very thing makes me wonder if the rumours of going back to white at home are true. I know those who seem to be in the know here say that isn't changing though so probably not.
Personaly I prefer white at home for a few reasons, and it would make sense with what some are doing with these new unis.

The ones leaked were for the Junior Stars, who pretty much wear the real thing minus a few changes, ala the no NHL logo and the TM. Those are gonna be the new Stars jerseys.
