Gloatfest means nothing to me. You guys rag the Flyers all year round. 1 year worth of gloating isn't worth the countless number of years the Pens were in the cellar. We went from last place in the entire league last season to being one of the top 4 teams in the league this year. And we didn't have to tank season after season to do it. Plus you all aren't Pens fans, so where are your teams now? Gloatfest is meaningless, but I guess that's all you have left when your teams don't do anything. |

Az is a Pens fan.
I like Gloatfest. It's where people come to feel better about themselves because they can never really admit that love the orange and black, that they need the orange and black. It's a deep-seated longing to be one of us, manifested in some unusual envy that comes with being from the Midwest, land of cornflakes, old steel mills, and, uh, more corn... |

I know AZ is, but the rest of them aren't. I just find it amusing that they hate the Flyers that much that they need a "fest". IMO it makes us that much more awesome! LOL |

Hey, it's not like fans have been able to celebrate "for" the Flyers in a while...
Maybe the Flyers are just TO south. Granted they make the playoffs more than TO but that story can finish itself.

You're right. They've earned nothing. Somehow, though, 26 other teams have earned less. Odd how that works.
BTW, the Jones hit was the least dirty of any of the "big" ones. I understand you're a Bs fan, but if you at least picked Boulerice's facial work or Downie's attempted kamikaze, it'd be more plausible. |

Last I checked only 1 team could win the Cup every year. We missed the playoffs only 8 times in our 40 year history and have 2 Cups. We're more then happy with our results. |

Sorry, I'm not a B's fan. They practice nearby and I post about things I see and hear about them. I put up the photo of Bergeron as a sample of the Flyers style of play. Even if the hit was perfectly legal it dosen't excuse the emphasis on hitting to injure which is a Flyer's trademark. I derive great pleasure watching them get bounced out of the playoffs. It's one thing to play tough hockey and it's another to play to hurt. So once again I say "what goes around comes around". |

IMO (and I know I'm gonna get flamed for this, couldn't care less) the Flyers shouldn't even be in the ECF. They went to OT of game 7 with the Caps who were a bubble team in Round 1 and they got an easy out of the 2nd round with Montreal and the fact that Carey Price couldn't stop a beach ball (I don't blame him). Flyers have been throwing dirty hits all season and they deserve to be swept.

So, because they won their two prior series and threw dirty checks in the regular season, they shouldn't have won their two prior series?
