According to Therrien, he was told that the Pens would have a 2-man advantage, so pulling Fleury would give them a 6-on-3.

And just where is your fairy of a team? By which I mean fairy-tale to ever get back to the post-season, you Leaf fan, you.

I was very disappointed with the Philly effort. I ended up not watching the third period, I was so upset.

I still believe that the officiating was biased towards Pittsburgh, (case in point - no penalty on Malone pinning Biron's stick, and the Philly disallowed goal at the end of the second period: the net did not come off, and Thorenson was pushed in by Orpik) and I have a few friends who are Philly haters who agree that Philly was getting all kind of crap calls, right from the start.

I am not taking anything away from Pittsburgh though, they came out tonight with a purpose.

Congrats to Pittsburgh, and may the beating from Detroit be merciless.

That was a brutal game to watch. I was so psyched (sp) to see a good game.
I think the Flyers totally forgot what they did the game before.
Hopefully tomorrow night will at least be a good one.

Congrats to the Pens, however.

Enough with effin Crosby. At the end of the game, all the announcers talked about was Crosby this Crosby that. When interviewing Therrien, all they asked was did you believe Crosby could captain, etc. Then they interviewed Crosby himself.

Umm, there are 19 other people on the team. Dear lord...

Yes, yes... I know it's so hard to wait for Gloatfest! I have such a tough time waiting too... It's just like counting down those days until Christmas.

Rest assured... Gloatfest '08 is upon us!!!

I graduated from school on the same day that the Floppers flopped for the last time. It was the second-best day of my entire life!!!

I'm traveling down to Atlanta tomorrow to see my newly-born nephew, so there will be a short time lag before the festivities begin in earnest. But since it's so hard to wait, I offer this fun internet quiz to help pass the time until GLOATFEST '08: THE MOTHER OF ALL GLOATS

Are You a Sorry Ass Flyers Fan?

OK THEIR MAYBE HOPE FOR YOU!!!! NOW GOTO CHURCH AND ASK YOUR PRIEST, RABBI, OR PREACHER TO SAY A PRAYER FOR YOU... THEN GET RID OF ALL YOUR FLYERS GEAR!!!

I don't even like the Flyers.

Good for Pittsburgh, though. Should be an interesting final.

As a Flyers fan I need some help with the quiz. Are the first two questions trick questions?

Another gem from Molinari.

Penguins Q&A with Dave Molinari

Quote:
Q: I know this is "Penguins Q&A," not "Flyers Q&A," but I have to ask: "Vengeance Now?" Vengeance? Really? What or whom do they feel has to be avenged?

Bill Cantine, Fredonia, Ariz.

MOLINARI: That's one only the Flyers -- specifically, the people who conceived that slogan and/or approved it as the franchise's official motto for the 2008 playoffs -- could answer, but the hope here is that they'll settle for something a bit less ominous next season. Something along the lines of "Kill All Living Things," maybe.
