Gotta love watching those unsuspecting fools when they run into the KronWALL.

Dick move by Osgood, dick move by Ribiero.

Okay, Osgood accidentally caught Ribiero in the chest with his butt end, and Mike Ribiero slashed him across the throat, sending Osgood to the ice in a fetal position for a good minute. The announcers' reaction? "I don't see any suspension, the goalies are pretty well protected nowadays. Osgood provoked him, and Ribiero just retaliated."

What?!?!

Wow, I hope you didn't really see it that way after the numerous slo-motion replays...

Osgood INTENTIONALLY stuck his stick out, hitting Ribiero in the FACE. Not a big deal, 2 for interference or high-sticking.

Ribiero slashed Osgood in the CHEST, not the throat. That isn't to say it wasn't a wild swing worthy of the match penalty and a suspension, but seriously...it was pretty clear during the numerous replays.

It didn't look to me like Ozzie was watching where his butt end was going, the game was over; and I don't know why he would drop to the ice that quickly and stay down as long as he did if it hit his well-protected chest. But, that's just my interpretation of what I saw.

He saw Ribiero coming down the ice so he stuck his stick out to make contact. Not trying to catch him in the face, but the contact was intentional.

Osgood took a dive because he just got 2-handed. It was a smart play.

Well, he certainly fooled me, I was worried when I saw him go down!

Swinging your stick at a goalie after the game is over will get you a game. Even though the score was close, the Wings controlled the game. The Stars should spend some time with a color consultant to remind themselves that the net is between the red posts. Now back to big D for what should be a down and dirty game.

Osgood is trash.. he relies on his tremendous defense and when and if someone even gets near him he takes a cheap shot! Ribeiro clearly got Osgoods butt end into his face and lost control, took a cheap shot on osgood in his CHEST and Osgood flopped like there was no tomorrow.. if Ribeiro gets a game and nothing goes to Osgood, it shows the bias toward Detroit

I laughed.
My wife asked "if he has a chest protector that keeps 100 mph shots from hurting him, how does he get injured from that?!?!?!?"
If Ribeiro gets a game, Osgood gets an oscar.

Gotta say though, Detroit looks like they will be sipping champaigne in a few weeks.

This is exactly what happened.

You should hear the guys on NHLN blasting both of them.

In this case, justice was served and no suspension is warranted.
