Yup. In 5 years they drafted the likes of Sakic, Sundin, Owen Nolan, Lindros in the first round. There was Jason More between Sakic and Sundin but he didn't matter. Two of them are sure fire hall of famers. The other two could have been but were definitely top guys...in fact I think both of them won the Hart Trophy at one point.

Real fans can't affoard tickets! I make a comfortable living but this would take a big chunk out of my savings just to see one game!

On top of that a lot of these lower bowl seats are reserved for folks up in suites. Suites owned by companies trying to smooze clients...

Lots of fans arent from the cities/states their favourite team is from, and come to think of it many of the players in those teams arent even from the same continent!
I'm a detroit fan, but i live in the UK. But i have family in lansing and detroit, so ive been a wings fan since forever. So shut up.

I hope the pens lose mainly because i wont have to see that annoying poster boy any more! I predict at least a 6 game series, but i like to hope for a sweep

I hope Ozzy can shut up a lot of critics in this series. Here's his best chance to earn the respect I think he deserves at this point.

To add to what Spidey listed (and it may have been posted already), the ticket holders for the suite also have access to the first few rows around the players benches, I think.

If that is the case, why would they come down to glass level when they can stay in the suite and have food and alcohol provided to them?

That may be why some of those seats look empty. The people are there, just in the boxes up top.

Of course, that's what I heard. I don't know for sure.

But of course, I won't be able to watch the first two games because it's on VS. They can't show it on the local broadcast because of the wonderful contract the NHL has with VS. I'd either have to go to someones house who has it or go to a bar/restaurant.

I've been a Pens fan since about the time Lemieux retired for the first time. I have never lived anywhere other than Rochester. I stuck around from the 2001-02 season through 2005-06. I wore my Lemieux jersey proudly to school when Jackman scored in OT vs Phoenix in 2003-04 to end the Pens 18 game winless streak.

If he can put on a show in the finals I would say thats his ticket into the HOF

Mmm...kay?

I can guarantee you that at least half of the fans in Mellon Arena are bandwagoners, who wouldn't even acknowledge the Pens' existence when the Pens' leading scorer was Dick Tarnstrom and Andy Chiodo was their starting goaltender.

You don't get CBC in Shelby TWP? I live probably 10 miles south of you and I get it. All finals games are on CBC as far as I've read.

I'll have to check. I had heard that VS somehow had the first few games exclusively. It's bad enough we can't get it on FSN Detroit because of the corked up contract.

I hope it's on CBC. I'll find out for sure.
