Just found out another of the boys I coached in HS was signed by the Blackhawks.
He was captain of Boston College this year.
Always a great kid.
You can just tell the kids that move on to higher levels by the way they carry themselves.

Another Long Islander. Why exactly don't the Islanders ever try to go after any of these LI guys. That would be a great draw. Hometown player playing for the hometown team. Seeing Higgins and Komaserick on Montreal annoys me. How could the Isles not of drafted at least one of them. Oh, Mike Milbury, right. He only drafted people from Massachusetts. Can you tell I'm an Islander fan?

I am good friends with his father Billy Schaeffer. He used to play pro basketball with the Virginia Squires and NY Nets. We used to let Kevin skate in pre game warm ups for pick up games every Sun
day morning.

Others I coached,
Joey Grimaldi had a tryout with Isles last year as did James Marcou. Also Richie Purslow is in Des Moines
All great kids, the only pain in the butt was Grimaldi. lol
Charlie Wang with his "We're all Islanders".
Look in your own backyard Chuck.
Alot of good players coming out of the Island.
