Ray Emery? is he done?
I am really surprised that no one has signed him yet...but its amazing how this guy (at least for the time it seems) has got himself bounced from the NHL. Is anyone going to give him another shot? LA seems to be the only team i can really think off? unless he is going to a rich russian team?
thoughts?

Most teams would rather sign a goalie that will show up at practices and not try and start fights with everybody. Just a thought.

I still think LA is going to make a play for Khabibulan, so it's unlikely to me that Emery will wind up there. However, I think someone will at least give him a two-way contract (Fla comes to mind).
We shall see...

BYE BYE Ray Emery The thing most people dont understand is that Ray will not sign a 2 way deal. If he was sent to the minors he would probably quit. The guy is an ass hole and everyone in the NHL knows it.
I have 1 real question for him I'd love to get answered. Was it worth it acting like your hero Allen Iverson now?

He'll end up in Russia I think. If not, he'll go for a rich German team. Or maybe in Sweden, to take Belfour's place! LOL
I'm pretty sure he'll end up in Europe. Russia's my first bet though.

LA's GM has said in the past week that he has no interest in trading for Khabibulin because he doesn't consider him to be a dramatic upgrade over LaBarbera/Ersberg. When you consider that what LA currently has costs the team around 1.6 million in cap space and the fact that Bulin hasn't been much to squawk about the past 2 seasons, it's unlikely they are going to trade any assets for a guy that makes 6.5 million a season. Doesn't make sense to make a move like that for that kind of money until the team is in a position to compete, which isn't likely for another season or two.
Also GM Dean Lombardi also stated before the free agency period that the club has no interest in Ray Emery. They're content to stick with LaBarbera/Ersberg (let's hope Ersberg ends up as the #1 guy) or let one of the kids (Bernier or Zatkoff) step up and seize the job.

Panthers will not look at him. We have a great starter in Vokoun, and a back-up that has been a key player in Anderson (many fans down here are wanting to deal Vokoun and have Andy as a starter....).

The German hockey federation does. In fact, its recent and past history suggest that it encourages it.
I don't see them going after Emery just yet though, their national team isn't quite desperate enough for a goalie yet.

What is your problem? First you call all of them Nazis. Let me know what "history" suggests. Germans love idiots?

sigh... and this is why you aren't going to be a mod. Seriously, step back and relax. His remark was about the hockey federation in Germany. He made a serious remark.

What about , columbus ?
im just going through the list of NHL teams, and the jackets come to mind.
i thought of tampa and nashville. but tampa has smith and ramo . and nashville has ellis, and than pekka rinne is there future "star"
the jackets have leclaire and norrena. unless they bring up mason and send norrena down , emery could be on the team . NHL or affiliate.
Overall though , when emery had the surgery on his wrist, i think thats what ruined his game, he couldnt get his starting roll back so he was dissapointed with that , and how well gerber was doing, he must have known he was gonna be benh boy for the rest of the season.
it seems like no one remembers emery when they went to the finals. yet they bash him for everything he has done this year,
bash this all you want, im just saying.
