Not liking the guy when he was in Ottawa, I was happy to hear that they bought him out and sent him packing. There are guys that are just busted their ass to get to a spot like he had, yet he threw it away so easily.

However, after seeing the interview on OTR, I have some new respect for the guy also. If he makes it back to the NHL I hope that he will still have that respect/class that he showed on the interview for his sport.

For the last couple of weeks I have been dealing with Ray while he has been at training camp in Finland and now started his workouts in Russia. Mainly I have just been helping him to get his new set of gear and finally today we got all his new stuff via FedEx just couple of hours before their Finnish forward Esa Pirnes took off to Russia and carried Ray's new gear with him.

I have to say that Ray has been a pleasure to deal with and he seems to be going to the new season with humble attitude. I hope and believe that he will have a good year in Russia and will return to NHL as better goalie and person after this season.
