I like the part where they make up a fake position for Lowe to be "promoted" into.

Now all we have to do is get MacT off the bench and give him some fake title too, and we're golden.

Since I last looked, most teams have a President of Hockey Operations. I don't know how made up it is.

I agree. That is a major position for most teams. Some teams have the Asst. GM dealing with hockey operations, other teams feel the need to have someone dedicated to the position for a more direct influence.

As for the Canucks, looks like everyone wants to get the hell out of dodge!

It's about time the guy got a GM job. I liked him to be the GM after Nonis left but Aquallini had other ideas. Just shows that the "old" regime has a lot of talented people.

Before this, the Oilers had a half-dozen VP's under the President & CEO, including (a) the GM and (b) the VP of Hockey Operations.

The VP of Hockey Operations is still there, but now there's a President of Hockey Operations as well.
