I believe several Scandinavian and some north american imports play in the Belgian league. I've never heard of anyone going to the Serbian league though. My guess is that it would be nicer in Belgium, too.

A childhood friend of mine is Croatian and he played in the Serbian league after "not making it" in the ECHL. Seemed to enjoy his time, I'll see if I can't get more information from him about it...there's not much to be found online. I do know however that Peter Zezel is like Wayne Gretzky over there though.

I know a bunch of Serbians and they can drink. The chicks are hot. Their English can be decent. Don't drink the rakija - it'll get you hammered in 15 mins and tastes like gasoline.

hey,

i live and play in Belgium.

I can say the level here contains a mix of foreign players going from Swedish second devision to ECHL players, some Uni guys looking for adventure, some home grown talents and the usual bench fillers.
Money isn't to hot over here, you most of the time get some gear, a bit of money and a place to stay.

In the Netherlands the highest level (honor devision) is higher then the Belgian and better organized, it can certainly compete with the German second highest devision. (some teams can even
There you find better players, there even have been ex NHL players (the not so famous ones LOL) playing there.

I played honor devision in the Netherlands as well as Honor devision in Belgium and first devision in Belgium.

Most teams have already made their choice of foreign players (unfortunatly)

If you got other questions about Belgian Hockey, PM me.

Cheers,
Pun
