Photo Gallery now installed!

Hello everyone,

We’re really excited to announce that we’ve just installed a photo gallery system that allows you to upload Photos and Movie Clips to the board.

How does it work?

Simply follow the ''upload photos" link on the main page to browse for stuff on your machine and then click upload. To get to the photo gallery I've placed a link in the top nave bar. The system accepts these formats:

• .jpg,.jpeg,.png up to 2500 X 2500 pixels
• .mpeg,.mpg,.avi,.asf,.wmv,.mov up to 16 Megs

Each member has his/her own gallery that they can arrange as they see fit. This is where you upload any images of yourself in action and where you’d show off your new gear.

Additionally, we have three other galleries.

• Gear Sightings – It might be easier to continue the popular gear sightings thread here
• Action Shots – Each member has their own gallery to post their own action shots, this gallery is for photos of other goalies in action
• Media Room – Like the action shots thread, upload clips of other goalies here.
• Other – For now all other stuff goes here and as we monitor it’s use, we may include additional galleries based on user interest.

Some Reminders.
We hope that this addition is used by our members for personal reasons, and remind you that the rules of the board extend to the photo gallery too.

However if you are a manufacturer or a retailer, or operate a goalie school and would like to post pictures to promote your business, please contact me by clicking here.

We would also ask you to respect content copyrights. Any material uploaded will be removed if it is uploaded with out consent of it’s creator.

To ensure that these guidelines are enforced, we’ve enabled a moderator Queue similar to the Equipment Classified Forum, so please be patient while uploading images. We’ll try to get your stuff approved as quickly as possible.

Some Technical notes.
We have entered settings that will prevent usage of the gallery if the server gets too busy. If you see an error message denying you access to the board, simply try back later.

I'm really interested in feedback on the gallery so please let me know if there is anything we can do to improve it.

tried uploading some pictures, it gives me a 15kb limit on my account, what's up with that? the first picture i'm trying to upload is (686x600) is and that's 110kb.

Same here. Limits are way too small to get any pics on there.

I was very excited until I saw the filesize limits. Great idea, though.

BTW, the avatar filesize limit is much larger...

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 75 by 75 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller).

oops,

I meant to set the limit to 15 megs per member, not 15 kb...

I'll fix now.

I love the way the "New images" "Most popular images" and the "random images" are all the same. Post some pics guys!

I just left a comment and a rating to test out the system. When I rated it, it left a rating but a blank comment along with it. I then decided to delete the blank comment, but when I tried to, it made me go in and type more then 5 letters to even get it to delete after checking the box.

Then when I typed a comment and I did the rating at the same time, it came out right.
