Is there anything better than poorly conceived trolls for the money?
Just what the title says, is there anything that even compares to the Hackva 2608 for the money? I'm mean, from what I can tell this thing is constructed similiar to 800$+ masks. Its made with fiberglass plus it has a full layer of kevlar AND carbon fiber!!! Its hard enough to find a mask under 400$ with a full layer of kevlar, let alone a full layer of carbon fiber too!!! So why are they so cheap at less than 300$ for the solid color masks? I'm looking at one with a sick grim reaper paintjob (one of there stock paintjobs I assume because I have seen it before with different colors) and its still going to be less than 400$ shipped. So whats the deal? They almost seem too good to be true for the price.

I believe that Protechsport offers the best quality/price ratio of any mask on the market.

How you figure that? Protechsport's 300$ single color mask is only constructed out of fiberglass. I fail to see how that is a better than one thats made of fiberglass while also having 1 full layer of both carbon fiber AND kevlar. I cant seem to find anything that has both a full layer of carbon fiber and kevlar for less than 800$ which is two and a half times the price of the Hackva. The only reason the mask I'm looking at is 400$ is due to the paintjob. Which is another plus over any other mask Ive looked at, your able to get a EXTREMELY well done paintjob (although not custom, they have LOTS of awesome ones to choose from) for only another 100$. They are really good paintjobs too, from everything Ive seen you they could pass as customs. Definitely not like any 'stock' paintjob Ive ever seen on any other mask. The more and more I look at this mask, the more and more I wonder whats the deal. The price is really throwing me for a loop here. Are they really as good as they seem?

Here we go....
The Hackva mask seems really nice, considering the money it seems like a great great option.
The only other mask that seems to hit a similar price/quality point is the quantums. Never seen one. Seen a Hackva and was impressed.
Lets not go into another stupid "This mask kicks ass this one sucks thread."
Things are a little more complicated than just the materials that go into the mask. you are paying for design, construction methods,etc....
As for Redic they are out of business. I believe the peranis chain in Michigan may have a few masks. They are the only abs combo I have seen that I would consider putting on my head.
You could probably pick one up dirt cheap if you could find it.
I have not played in a Hackva but from looking at one up close they certainly seem like a good way to go.

There is no doubt that Gabe and his father know their stuff when it comes to masks, and make a good, quality product. However, your question is a bit vague, as everyone has different ideas on what their "perfect" mask is.
You have to determine what you're looking for in a mask, it may be price point, it may be paintjobs, and it may be 20 other things.
I bought my first mask without knowing as much about them as I do now, and I did alright with my Heaton, then moved on to a ReidiC, which has blown me away with it's protection and weight, but ultimately I have a Stacey mask on the way, as I finally stacked enough cash to get a top tier mask. Sure you pay more for the Protechsports, Warwicks, Staceys, etc. out there, but in the same bead you can also get an ITECH 1400 for about $100, with a paintjob, and I'll bet people won't know the difference.
It's up to you what you wear on your gourd, we share knowledge on here so people can take what they will and base a decision on the facts they are given.

Personally, I think Quantum is the best bang. You are getting a superior product custom fit, CSA approved etc.

If you go to the Hackva thread in the reviews section, I'm almost positive you'll find a few of his posts there.
ReidiC is a very nice mask, too bad they went out of business. Any material that is good enough for a cowpusher on a train is good enough for my noggin.

Still, no one has really answered my question. This isnt really a thread about if I should get a hackva or not, its about why a mask thats on par with 800$ masks construction wise can be had for only 300$. It doesnt make any sense to me. I mean the paintjobs are nice and everything, but I'm looking for a mask strictly on protection and durability. Its just a added bonus that you can get a awesome paintjob for less than 100$ extra.
So my question really is, what seperates this mask from other top of the line masks that use both a full layer of kevlar and carbon fiber throughout the mask? I mean all the other masks that are constructed this way easily cost twice as much. So why is the Hackva so cheap for what your apearantly getting?
