I happened to be in Atlantic City at the time they were touring a couple years ago with Hagar and they wanted 65 bucks for a ticket. I definitely wouldn't pay anything to see Hagar but I don't think I'd pay too much to see them the way they all are now.

If DLR tours with VH, ill sell an organ to get good seats!! I doubt it will happen but it would rake in some serious loot, this has got to be one of the most anticipated reunions in rock hostory. A super tour like the ol 'Monsters of rock' stadium tours would sooooo rock!

I would go see them, don't know why except I am a huge fan of the DLR stuff.
But they may don't last all the way up to Toronto, I think the odds are against them.
Actually my wife read DLR's book, she said it was actually not too horrible.
Would I pay $200 to see them, no chance.
But I would love to see them as long as they are not overly cranked.
(I've heard stories of their hey day's being so wasted, Alex could even keep a beat and it was a mess. )

So true. But if DLR manages to lift his leg high enough to kick Wolfgang in the nards, he might be able to hit those notes

I went to one of thier shows in 1984 with Dave at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, it was great. Saw them a few times after and, okay.
Dave just sounds cool. I have a copy of the 1983 US Festival where he was drunk and forgot the words to You Really Got Me. He's really pretty wasted on that video but it's good.
Also have kind of a rare Eat Em and Smile on LP where he sings the whole thing in Spanish. Too bad Anthony isn't going to be there. What are the ticket prices going to be?.
Have You Seen Jr's Grades? Rock On !!!!

Its not like it would take an extreme virtuoso to play Van Halen songs on the bass. Hell you could probably do most of it with 1 hand. Im sure there will be back ups involved, VH without back ups would be a train wreck, especially with DLR singing lead.
Ive been hearing these rumours for long time, I couldnt care less if it happens or not but it would be mildly entertaining to see DLR on stage at his age trying his stage moves. DLR was always the one with the stage presence and charisma, Hagar and Cherone had the pipes. So at DLR's age will he still be able to do it? Better start workin out hard Dave.

Reading my earlier post:
"Would I pay $200.....no way"
Well went on a guys cottage fishing weekend/derby and I asked my wife to grab me tickets.
I left a note saying " Here is my CC #, please do the best available but not floors"
She bought 30th row floors. $160 each (x 2)
The stage looks like a cool setup as the catwalk goes out to at least the 20th row, so I won't be too far away.
Van Halen Press Conference Videos & Photos
Not close enough for Eddy to spit on me , but I have convinced myself it will be a blast, all monies aside.
I almost fell off the dock when she called me..........I kept saying , did you see the "no floors" note?
(then gave me the " get your own damm tickets next time" haha )

picked up tix for VH in toronto, wife and 2 kids going, sort of like going to a museum exhibit!! Was much better when it happened, 27 years ago!
My kids both play a bit of guitar and like 80's rock...so if the band can stay together for 2-3 weeks, we'll see them from the cheap seats in toronto.
rock-on!
ps: I now have to save for those t-shirts...I sort of remember the 80s when it was 8-12$ for a tour shirt...yes..I'm old..

Yep..whole family is going, kicker is we are in town for a hockey tournament and now a game is scheduled for 7:30 in Etibicoke...my son has to decide whether he bails on his team and goes to the show or stays behind and we eat a ticket
He is a big fan, but will likely get sat out if he misses the game, however, how many times do you get a chance to see Diamond Dave and Eddie!!
We'll see how he decides!
