He is a big fan, but will likely get sat out if he misses the game, however, how many times do you get a chance to see Diamond Dave and Eddie!!

We'll see how he decides!

What kind of father are you?

Get your kid some Jack Daniels and go to the show.

Hockey can wait.

Saw the show in Philly monday night. It was great. DLR sounded pretty darn good, still has the leg kick going. And eddie amazing as usual. I never thought it would happen either, but it did, and they still rock.

How's Wolfgang? I'm sure he's at the very least.... decent.

He looks like a chubby guy version of valerie. I play guitar, not bass, so i really can't give an informed opinion on his playing specifically. I don't think they have any bass solos, so i didn't really notice him. He IS a van halen, and he's eddie's son, i'm guessing that eddie wouldn't let him on stage if he wasn't good enough. Its not like the chili peppers trying to replace flea. The vocals sounded ok, and the crowd filled them in during the chorus anyway. I'll trade dave for michael anthony any day.

I do have one question, who plays the synth parts? there isn't anyone on stage with a keyboard, are they pre-recorded or what?

Could be... that means playing with a click track though. Ugh.

At least they're not lipsyncing.

What time did they take the stage? I'm looking forward to the show...

Amazing!!!

Saw the show last night in Indianapolis.... simply incredible!

I got the shirt and one of those little beanies with the VH logo on it as well. The shirts and logo items are kinda thin in selection, but it's just not a complete concert without the gear.

The reggae opening act was ok... I'm not really into reggae, so I just kinda sat and waited it out. When they were finished, the lights came up and the roadies started clearing the main stage.

AS soon as the lights were going down... the standard guitar grunts and drum/cymbal tests were heard, followed by the opening song. It was awesome! They played at least one song from all the albums with Dave. Wolfgang is obviously still getting used to life on stage, as he's not quite as mobile... but he does get a chance to get into it now and then.. his opening riff on "Running with The Devil"... you can see the grin on his face from all the way in the back of the arena. It was great!

Ed sounds better than ever, Dave can't quite hit ALL the high notes but makes it work, and Alex is not nearly as animated as he used to be... but sounds better than ever. His opening run on "Hot for Teacher" was flawless and well-paced.

I highly recommend getting to one of the shows if you can make it. Well worth the admission price and the 22 years of waiting. And for all the Michael Anthony lovers, he isn't really missed. It's really nice to see Ed and his kid playing together on stage, and you can tell he is loving every minute of it.

I give the Indianapolis show a 10/10!!!

The friday TO show was amazing, if they come by your town, don't miss it!

Kids loved it of course, reefer madness in our section wasn't too bad for my 11 year old.

When VH started this tour they said they wanted to be judge harshly if they weren't bringing a great show...they delivered a classic rock show.

I'm thinking Montreal in a few weeks sounds good to me

The Wednesday night show in Philly was excellent! The local rock station (94.1) played a recap of the Monday night show for about 40 minutes after the concert, which rocked cause I got to hear more VH on my ride home. If they come back to Philly I will be there, again!

Meant to post this earlier:

The wife and I saw them in Toronto. Un-freaking-believable.

Didn't miss Anthony.

Wolfie was fine and there were some great father-son jam moments too.

Eddie is a guitar god.

Alex was unreal.

DLR was almost his '84 self: roundhouse kicking, singing great, super animated.

What a great show!

The synth parts and the backing vocals are pre-recorded. There is video on youtube somewhere of the synth part of 1984 going into Jump where it is way too fast and eddie is wondering what the hell is going on. Dave rolled with it and sang his parts fine.

Saw the 1st Toronto show as well, such a wicked time . Awesome show!

Bit pricey, but solid, nonetheless!

Eddy played so well, and Roth on the vocals was solid.

Throw a chair in a public place, or barricade yourself in an international airport. You'll be fine!
