Van Halen is back, dammit, and I got the t-shirt to prove it!

Van Halen, Roth to announce reunion tour - Music - MSNBC.com

I'm betting it dies before they get through week two.

Roth is going to have a meltdown taking instruction from a trio of Van Halens. It was bad enough for him with two.... so three is going to be better? And I can just see the first time he gives Wolfgang any lip...

DLR - "You're playing it wrong... that's not how it goes."

WVH - "Um... do you even know which end to blow in, old man?"

DLR - "What? You can't talk to me like that. I'm the star of this show."

WVH - " Gee... that must be why the band is called Van Halen... because it's all about you."

DLR - "I oughta kick your smarmy little punk ass..." <<< gets up, attempts roundhouse kick >>>

[[[SNAP! CRACKLE! POP! ]]]

WVH - "What the hell was that, old man? Get up... I'll stick this guitar up your a55!"

DLR - "Dial 911 kid... I think I broke a hip!"

might not be so bad...

The Police are touring now, even though Sting is a major control freak. I read an article on Rolling Stone about how Sting just goes over and over a song until they get it perfect, but instead of Andy Sumner (now in his 60's) and Stewart Copeland (now in his 50's) getting all bent about it, they just knew ahead of time how it would be.

It might be the same for VH and DLR, the money wopuld be good if they could pull it off, so they might suck it up one more time.

I would have to say that VH is one of my all time favorite bands and I would pay anything to see them...

You never know.....part of the problem for years was Michael Anthony not getting along with Eddie or his brother.

It was his affinity to his butt buddy, Sammy Hagar. They tour together still.

Watching Van Halen semi-reconstituted is probably going to be painful.

Actually, I've heard Wolfgang is quite the bass player. Plays everything, actually. Bass, guitar and drums. If anything it will be interesting, bit it will never be like the good ol' days.

Maybe one of these days we'll see WVH.

Not the same without Michael Anthony

Without the sound of Michael Anthony's backups...it just won't be the same. I don't care how good a bass player Wolfie is...there's no way he can sound like Michael Anthony.

Go back and listen...DLR just talks...it's Mr. Anthony that does all the singing...
