I woke up early this morning Jim, 5am, 8am your time, and let some thoughts of your strong will and fighting spirit run through my head. I know you'll be fine, but still, let us know.

I wish you a speedy recovery from this latest challenge you'll overcome.

Anyway someone can find out how he's doing? It'd be good to know that he's alright.

WE DID IT!!!

Although I am not out of the woods quite yet, surgery went better than expected. They were able to remove a good sized piece of the centre mass which will give them a better indication of what we are dealing with. That in turn will have them set out treatment protocols for the future.

Although my vision is a little blurred, doubled and off a bit, there was no partial loss at all. Basically I can still make out objects with my entire eyesight (sorry if the typing is off because of this). They are not sure if this is permanent, however I will give myself some time to rest and let he swelling in my brain subside before concernign myself with that.

When I awoke from surgery, my surgeon asked me if I could see, gave me a quick vision test and when I told him I could see with a bit of blurriness, he said, "Amazing," as he thought he certainly gave me a defect. I later found out that they really had to yank on the thing in my head to get a good piece for a biopsy (basically pulling on my brain to get a good enough chunk).

I am doing well but am very tired and weak. I got home yesterday afternoon (yes, in and out in 2 days) and am happy to be home recouperating. I should get the results of the biopsy in the next week and we will go from there. Although the war is not over, we won another battle.

I am not sure you will believe this, but arounf the time of surgery (actually for the better part of the morning) I felt a warm sensation throughout my entire body and felt a little more of a tingling sensation in my head. I cannot prove it but I am of the belief it was a result of the many people praying and thinking of me and sending good vibes my way...and for all the support and kind words and thoughts, I thank you all. It was you that helped give me courage and strength through all this and helped me keep a positive outlook. I guess my surgical team deserve some props as well as they were by far the best in the business.

I will be keeping you posted on the results, but if things keep on track, they will be able to rid this thing from my body once and for all. Again, thank you for everything all of you have done.
